Antonomasia | 514 comments Couldn't work out a good title for this thread.

I've been tidying up works by Will Self.
On the front page it now says there are 65 distinct works. The full listing on its first page says there are 30. When I've encountered this problem before it's meant that disambiguation wasn't properly completed for some editions, but I can't see that here.

Also, page 2 and 3 of the full listing of works partly repeat themselves (but the works are already correctly combined). Is this a temporary bug?

Antonomasia | 514 comments This still hasn't changed.

It gives a different number of works on each page, and pages 2 and 3 still half repeat one another.

The first page of works will always show 30 if the author has 30 or more. It's not a total; it's the number on the first page.

Antonomasia | 514 comments But is there a reason why pages 2 and 3 show a lot of the same works in identical editions?

That is probably a bug.

Empress (the_empress) It usually doesn't take long for the hash. What I am thinking is it might be counting as distinct works either books where he is lone author or editions where he is the primary author. I'm just guessing here, but I see more editions then 60 on his combine page, and on hes profile it shows more them 65 books where he has contributed.

P.S. After all the master and margarita and Alice in wonderland are not his works, so they shouldn't be distinct, right?
