Birthday: November 30; I'm 20 years old.
4. How's the weather where you live? Texas, currently, is super hot! The weather this summer has finally decided to live up to its stereotype.
5. Do you have any kids and are you married? No kid, not married. Have been dating my wonderful boyfriend Ben for two and a half years (come July).
6. What's your favorite color? GREEN. Grass green.
7. What's your favorite movie? Stardust (the film adaption of Neil Gaiman's book)
8. What's your favorite tv show? Supernatural, or cartoon series: Adventure Time. (I am a kid at heart.)
9. What kind of music do you like? I typically listen to soundtrack music, which is great motivation for writing! I am a big fan of Eric Whitacre and my first love was Michael Jackson, though I've had an affair with David Bowie for years.
10. What's your favorite song? "Til I Hear You Sing" by Ramin Karminloo (from Love Never Dies, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera musical).
11. What kind of books do you like to read? I prefer YA books, usually, but often run into the trouble of them being too...teenagery... On the other end of the spectrum, I've a writer-crush on Sherrilyn Kenyon.
12. What's your favorite book? Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It's three parts, from 2 points of view, and has a very rounded storyline, and the characters! GAH! Brilliant. (I'll have a conversation with anyone who wishes to go into details about why I love this book so much!)
13. What's your favorite food? Chocolate chip cookies!!
14. Who's favorite actor and actress? Actor- Tim Roth, Actress-Nicole Kidman
15. When did you first start becoming a writer? I've written stories since I was kid (earliest record was about 7 years old), and started my first novel when I was 15, and got serious about writing about 2 years ago, and since then have finished my novel and am editing.
16. What are you doing this summer? So far I've plans to hang out with my family. I've "applied" for a babysitting/nannying job, so that'll be FUN! :D
17. What's your favorite holiday? Christmas!!! (Halloween comes in close second)
18. What's your favorite lucky number? I don't have one....
19. What are your plans for the weekend? Homework, mostly. And my cousins are down from Florida so we're throwing two of them birthday parties! I haven't seen 3 of them in about 5 years, and never met the youngest two, so this is exciting!
20. What were you like as a child? I remember being shy to the point of crying if strangers looked at me. I also remember anxiety about getting in trouble.. But according to my family, and some home videos, I was a little obnoxious and silly. ("Was"... haha)
21. How many friends do you have? Lots. My boyfriend, Ben, is my best friend; Ben's best friend/"brother" Will, is my second closest male friend. My childhood best friend Tara, and church friends (who're married and having babies!!!) Sarah & Calvin, Christina & Landon, and my bachelor friends Sam and John and Alex... I love them all!
22. Do you have any brothers or sisters? 1 biological brother; I call Will my brother, too.
23. What's your pet peeve? Turning off the song before it finishes, clapping or beating on things for no reason, talking to me while I'm writing or reading.
24. Do you have any pets? 1 dog (Fistus), 2 cats (Kit Kat and Munchie)
25. What did you like about school? English. Literary analysis was my FAVORITE! (even though half the things we interpreted seemed far fetched, as I'm a writer and can understand putting in details without there being any symbolic reason for it. Example: in 1984, Winston has a sore on his leg in the beginning of the book and that's a major character-development symbol...Maybe he just had a sore, guys. Maybe it was just something the Orwell wanted to say. Haha.)
26. Did you play any sports when you were in school? Definitely not! I was a choir girl, and later in high school, theater.

Forgot to post here that I loved The Back Road and reviewed accordingly! Scrabbling for time to read Only the Innocent now.
Is there a new one out soon? You may have said and I've missed it!

I'm traditionally publi..." Hi Dean, out of interest do you promote your paperback books or ebooks at your book launches? I met a woman in a book shop in York today who was doing a book signing of her self-published paperback book. She gave 30% commission to the shop and sold 2000 books last year, mostly through book signings. Seems like a good thing to do. Good luck with your books.

I'm traditionally published, but self-publishing a title myself next month ( publisher didn't have room for the title on their list ). Going to piggy-back it off one of my normal book-launches to see how that affects awareness of the title on Amazon etc.
Enjoyed reading your blog, keep up the great work!
