How to add one of my books that is already on Amazon.com

How do I get this into Goodreads?

Also, the Older, out of print book: "The American Entrepreneur in Asia: A Personal Journey of Global Proportions" is no longer available (all editions).

ISBN-13: 978-0595350544
This should be removed from Goodreads.

Please advise how to do all of this ?

Out-of-print editions
Goodreads policy is to keep all editions, even out-of-print ones.

Authors may wish to indicate that such an edition is out of print. That is acceptable, as long as all of the following guidelines are followed:
1) The information should be listed in the description field, not the edition field or the title field.
2) This information should be added to any existing description. It should not replace it.
3) The information should be listed discreetly. No all-caps, italics, or bold, please.
4) No sales links or other external links. A link to another edition on Goodreads is fine.

Hi,

I was up for awhile but not longer does is show. Did I do anything wrong ? I did add a comment to the other book that is out of print (just added a comment that it was out of print).

Anyway, please advise.

I have set the new edition as a default but it still shows up on my Home page. It has changed in my Author's Dashboard but NOT the Home page. Please advise how to Change it to the new edition on the Home Page.

I'm not sure what do you regard as home page. I can see the new edition on your authors profile and searching by the name gives me the new edition as well.

yes, I see the same. The concern is over the Home page. My ad's will start hitting soon and the giveaway has started this day, so I was hoping we can get everything 'cleaned' up by today or tomorrow. Hope you can help.

What do you mean by your "home page"? It doesn't sound like anything other users see.

Not sure as I am new to Goodreads. It is the first page that comes up when I log in. What page comes up with other users either search for the book or the Author ??

Searching by the title or author also gives me the red and white cover.

Your homepage is definitely something specific to you, so I wouldn't worry overmuch about it. But we can try to solve the question of why you are seeing the older edition. What section of the page has the old cover? Is it in the main section of the website where the updates are shown or is it in the right hand column under a specific header?

Thanks ! When I log in, it is the first page that comes up. It shows under "Author Dashboard" which is the top right side column. It shows the old, green, edition.

Hmm, well, I don't know much about the Author Dashboard outside of the fact that it is only visible to authors so this is definitely not something other users will see.

Before the ability to change default editions was added, the most popular (most shelved) book was the primary edition. It's possible that for some reason the Author Dashboard still uses that method of displaying the books. But I don't know that for sure.

It might also have a 24h cache, so if you set the default edition today, give it time until tomorrow or after tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure the author dashboard lists most popular edition first.

I am positive only author sees author dashboard.

If you logout then search by book title and by author name, you'll see what goodreads members (versus yourself as author) sees.

Thanks! I did as suggested and it does show the newest edition. The author dashboard see the old edition. I will wait to see what happens after some reviews, etc on the new edition.

If dashboard shows most popular edition at top, "popular" = how many goodreads members rate/shelve book. Doesn't have to have reviews or 5-star ratings or be which edition had higher ratings— just the edition most added by goodreads members.
