i think this thread is a big long mess. it's so much cleaner and tidier and easier for readers/reviewers to go through individual topics under an author promotion umbrella rather than all of these on one thread. how can anyone sort through this? sorry, mods, but this is the worst idea ever.

I'm amazed at how Desilets can take this concept and turn it into a mixture of absurdity and honesty, thoughtfulness and comedy. This book is incredible! It contains all the elements that I love in a book. Good characters, amazing storyline, a lovable relationship and magnificent dialogue.
The author's use of expansive vocabulary was such a breath of fresh air! This is the story of two people who were exact opposites falling in love. Even though they were as different as night and day, Sebastian and Tess completed one another.
I've always been drawn to the theme of opposites attract and in this story the couple in question couldn't be more opposite as they not only come from two very different social circles but from opposite sides of the globe. In this story money can't buy you everything, particularly love. Rich playboy Sebastian soon learns that lesson in a most unexpected way which leads to a journey of self-discovery and ultimately happiness.
If you want a story where the characters are real, you can feel a connection with them and the experiences they go through, then this is the book for you.
