Reflected in You
discussion
should i read the crossfire series?
I like these books way better than 50 shades. Plus, Gideon doesn't have those creepy ET fingers like Christian.
I have to agree with all the other comments, this is a must read. The sex scenes are great, but there is actual plot to the stories. There are similarities to Fifty Shades, however, there are similarities to most books nowadays. It has its own unique twist and I strongly recommend you read and enjoy.
NO DOUBT...If you are not apart of the Crossfire family you are truly missing out! I LOVE YOU GIDEON
OMG Yes read! You will fall head over heals for Mr. Dark and Dangerous!! Can't wait for June 4th Entwined With You!!

He is truly my #1 fictional male character...sometimes I forget he's fictional :-)

Is the male voice sexy?

He's mine too. And I'm a full blown fictional whore, but Gideon is my #1, nobody takes his place.

Me too #1 Book Boyfriend. Just can't seem to get him outta my head. I'm always comparing everyone to him! So in Love!! LOL
You have go to read the Crossfire series. Fair warning it doesn't end with Entwined with you which was amazing! I love their story.
While I enjoyed it, I don't think that anyone should read this book if they have an issue with graphic sex. I loved the book and I enjoyed the relationship with Gideon and Eva. They really do have a lot of sex but I like the story being told and I like that there will be more to the series.
Omg to the 3rd book Entwine With You....it is so intense! Gideon and Eva are soooooo into each other....lots of steamy and hot scenes yet the storyline line is still in there! I really love Sylvia Day's writing style!
i asked this same question myself cause it expensive for an ebook...so i read the first two and was wanting to read the third except i found out that there is gonna be 2 more books now. It honestly just put me off. I started to try to read it and then just felt UGG! I didnt want to read it, its just too much honestly. I mean in FSOG at least they had some love and normal life inbetween all the shit that happens, there was real built love that you felt. These 2 just seems like there is just too much shit to deal with and not enough good and normal to have any kind of a relationship thats not damaging.
I read the 50 shades series and enjoyed it. I was not happy with the crossfire series, I felt that it was cut into 3 parts to charge more money. Book One ended abruptly. By end of Book Two the sex was rather repetitive and the plot line was absurd. I purchased but could not finish Book Three. I will not be reading the next series she is writing. I feel that the author took a 1 book story line, plumped it out with over indulged and after awhile very predictable sex in order to make money.
If you like 50 Shades, you could try Crossfire. Here's what I think of Crossfire: bared to you has too many similarities to 50SOG (it felt like a copy), Reflected to you I really liked, and Entwined with you felt like a filler and, to me, it really sucked.Overall I like the Gray trilogy better.

However I was disappointed in part three and a bit mad that I have to wait for a fourth book! But I'll wait and read it when it comes out.
Definitely yes! The writing is better than 50 and the characters have more depth. I enjoyed 50, but I loved Crossfire!
Kim wrote: "Yes, by all means, read the series! It is soooo good! June can't come fast enough for the 3rd book!!! The Eva/Gideon romance will pull you in for sure. There is only one CG but you will come to..."I totally agre with your commit.
Martha wrote: "YES most definitely!!! I absolutely loved, loved this story. Right now this is my all time fave! I have read it and re-read it over, and over again. I know this book by heart.
It has been tortu..."
I thought I was the only one. LOL can't wait for the fourth book hope it's soon.

Also Gidon was abuised so their love story is taking on a different path. I don't think that Eva is a HOE as you so put it.
If you're an emotionless piece of rock then yes please do the honors. If you've a little bit of brain and heart then please DON'T read this piece of trash!
I personally think Sylvia Day wrote her trilogy wayyy better than EL James. EL James published and got her book popular before Sylvia did. Sylvia's characters and her writing, editing is much better. I enjoyed her trilogy that the 50 Shades. I would definitely recommend you to read the trilogy.
Meh. Although it is a very hot, sexually charged series, I didn't really like these books. The first (Bared to You) is the best out of the three, but they progressively went downhill after that.
I personally found the dialogue hard to follow. Sometimes the characters would say things that didn't seem to fit in the context of what they were discussing, resulting in a LOT of WTF???!?!?!? moments for me :p
There are many better romances out there, so my opinion is, save your time, and look for something better. I loved FSOG and although some comparisons could be made for Gideon being like Christian, the writing in FSOG was WAY better.
If you're looking for fantastic, angsty, hot romances, read "The Bronze Horseman." A brilliant historical romance.
Alexander Barrington - now that is my ultimate book boyfriend. He trumps Mr. Grey, Gabriel Emmerson, and Kellan Kyle! And that's saying a lot!
Good luck!

And, to answer the original question: Yes, it is a good sex book.
But, no, the series as a whole is not good. You can read my full review of "Reflected in You" here, if you like:

I agree with Cha Cha. Bared to You is awesome. The author phones it in on the other two which is a shame because I LOVED the characters and there was so much potential with their story.
definitely YES.. i'm done and loved all three books.. but totally cliffhanger.. can't wait for the follow up book/s.. love Gideon Cross..
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Crossfire series...Even more I loved the Blackstone Affair and the book Secrets and Midlife love.

I will agree with some of the other comments and say that I too, enjoyed them even MORE than 50! Yes, it's true. Gideon is yum, and Eva is a stronger leading lady than Anna :)

Love the series and like the more than 2 dozen people above, feel that it is better than 50.
