Narrator Pseudonyms

I did know that Kate Fleming aka Anna Fields was not Kate Reading. Their voices were very different from each other. Kate Reading is a great narrator. I can't say that I disliked the late Kate Flemings narrations of books, but she wasn't or isn't a favorite of mine

I loved

Ambling books has Elizabeth Hart as the narrator. See: http://amblingbooks.com/books/view/se...

I don't think this is the case - they sound quite different.

I should have looked around first before posting this. I did find a narrator page on Tantor's website with a picture and bio for Rachel Dulude and it's not Amanda Ronconi, you're right. Sorry about that, but her voice is scarily similar. Somebody else, please listen to one of these books by Katie Ruggle and tell me that I'm not delusional. They are so alike. There's even similar snarky humor in the book like in Molly Harper's books so that part is so similar, too. So I would say if you are a fan of AR, definitely check these books out.

Yes it is her! Thank you! I'm a big fan of Andi Arndt and I'm pretty excited about this

Yes, I think you're right! It took me awhile to figure that one out

Sebastain York & Rob Shapiro ??
Both very similar & I love both"
I think you are right! Sebastian York is one of my favorite narrators.

Awesomely sexy reading voice for men but doesn't do women's voices worth a shit!

Even if they aren't the same I have to check out Rob Shapiro... anybody that sounds like Sebastian York is worth a listen!

Thank you! This was driving me nuts! I knew Molly Glenmore narrated "The Address" even though it was a different name. It was driving me nuts!

I've also discovered a few narrator pseudonyms so you can add a few more to your list:
Johnathan McClain = Tad Branson
Andrew Eiden = Teddy Hamilton
Zachary Webber = Jacob Morgan
Steve West = Shane East (this one ALWAYS makes me laugh!)

Tracy, I can’t place the voice (she sounds really familiar and GOOD). It’s now bugging me.
I’ll add the audiobook to Goodreads.

Thank you. And it is bugging me too!

Pucked on Audible

Muffy Newton is a pseudonym used by Erin Mallon. According to the post in the attached link, she was doing a lot of YA narration initially so when she began doing erotica, she felt it wise to use a pseudonym for those books, though she doesn’t think there’s a need any longer.

Thank you!! I had no idea!

And, I'm intrigued as to why this phenomenon happens. It would seem to me that narrators would like their fans to be able to find their work in order to more easily develop a following.
No, we do not have a published list, just what’s posted here.
I encourage you to read through this topic as the explanations for why a narrator may use a pseudonym are varied and have a basis.

Thanks, Jonetta!
I did read through just a few minutes ago. Interesting topic! I'm very glad to have found a forum about audiobooks, since actual reading, especially long-format reading, has become problematic for me in recent years. Audio has been a godsend for me, and having a place to dish should be fun!

I'm relatively new to audio books and have been recently enjoying listening to Charles Carr. Does anyone know if he narrates under a pseudonym? He sounds a lot like Sebastian York.
I can’t find anything on him. I always believed Sebastian York was a pseudonym so I’m thinking not. There’s a similarity in voice but they do sound a little different.

He definitely narrates under another name as well.

Kate Reading is actually Jennifer Mendenhall and freely speaks of it. This is from her Jennifer Mendenhall site "As Kate Reading, she is an audiobook narrator."
