Caleb ran through the owlery doors, he sat down on the floor panting. After he regained his breath he stood up and looked for Huntress, his Saw-Whet owl. "Here Huntress, here girl!" Caleb said calling out to her. A smile appeared on his face when Huntress landed on his forearm. "Here take this to uncle Judah, okay girl?" Caleb whispered to his owl. He stared at it as it disappeared into the horizon. He took out his wand, he gripped the thicker dark wooden handle, and looked closely at the intricate designs on the slimmer top part of the wand, a normal brown color with beautiful engravings etched onto it. His father gave him that wand, and once he first held it between his hands he felt his insides glow, a powerful wand no doubt. But with a sad history. I miss you mum and dad. I miss you a lot. He walked slowly out of the large doors and bumped into someone.
Zoe had been walking down the hall towards the Owlery. She didn't have a letter to send; there was no one for her that she might want to send a letter to. But she liked going there just to look at the owls. As she walked up to the doors, someone came out of the Owlery and bumped right into her. Letting out an irritated hiss, she gripped his arm to steady herself. "Watch where you're--oh, it's you, Caleb." She smiled at him. "Sending a letter?"
"Yeah to uncle Judah. He's probably worried, I send him one every month. So what're you doing here?" Caleb said smiling at her, just the sight of her face made him smile. Every time he saw her face, he remembered an inside joke or something that made him laugh. "Oh and how's Quidditch practice? Are you doing good?" Caleb asked curiously, looking at her beautiful carved, elegantly curved wand. Caleb thought about something, something he read in the restricted section in the library. A very ancient, very rare piece of dark magic. He didn't quite understand it, it was too much gruesome to read.
"I'm fine, of course," Zoe replied, absently turning her wand over in her hand. "Just came up here to look at the owls." She slipped her wand back into her pocket and pushed her hair away from her face. "Now that you mention it, I hope we have Quidditch practice soon." She looked at him. "So how's your uncle?"
"He's fine thanks. So how's your family doing?" Caleb asked. He watched her fiddle with her wand, e does that too when he's nervous. He tends to flip it in between his fingers. "Want to head to the common room? I'm freezing here." It was spring, but don't underestimate spring at Hogwarts, it's usually cold. Caleb walked out of the owlery rubbing his hands together. He looked at the scenery of the castle rolling across the bright green hills. The outside trees of the forbidden forest covered the inside view, the Quidditch court was empty. Caleb tripped over his robes, but he caught himself right before he fell. Real smooth, Caleb. Real smooth. He put out an awkward smile and walked down the long spiral stairs down and he headed towards the castle.
Zoe flinched almost unnoticeably, hesitating before she answered. "Um...they're fine," she mumbled finally. Caleb was her best friend, but she still hadn't told him about the fact that her parents were dead. In fact, she hadn't told anyone. Change the subject. "Yeah, let's go inside. It is cold."

((Well, no, they're in the hall. Just reply, then we can switch to Gryffindro Common Room.))
((Yep sure. And do you live in the Middle East? Just wondering about Time Zones and stuff. Because I live in Dubai.))
((No, I live in America. The US. Not sure what you guys call it there.))

((What do you mean? And just if you're wondering, I recently moved from London to the U.A.E. so I'm really new to this Arabic stuff. It's really hard to get used to.))
((Ah, so you're from London. Never been there, although I'd like to go some day.))
((Yeah it's amazing! I really miss it though. I've also lived in the U.S. for a short period of time.))
((Cool! Did you like it here? I suppose it wouldn't be that different from England.))
((Yeah I love it here. Lived here all my life.))
