Nairabell | 28 comments I just added this to my shelves and noticed that both the cover and page count are incorrect. When I went to change them to be correct, I found a note from Rivka stating that no changes should be made and a new edition should be created.

I'm now confused - the data is wrong, but it can't be changed? The only reason I became a librarian was to help UK editions be correct after being unable to use stats because of constant errors, and now I'm not allowed to change things?

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments rivka and I cross reversed the incorrect cover change, so I am gonna leave it alone for rivka to finish :)

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments there is probably a different UK edition - and that is what you need to make sure you edit - but I dunno

Nairabell | 28 comments I was attempting to fix the one I own that is right next to me but I'm just going to leave it. So much for having accuracy :(

The white cover was changed to the blue pre-pub for this ISBN, it looks like, which I missed the last time I looked at this one. Thanks for the catch.

Please note, however: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Page counts are often slightly incorrect from the publisher. I do suggest always checking on the source of a page count before changing it. If it came from another user, please don't change it without checking what their source was. Sometimes different printings do have different page counts, even if the cover has not (noticeably) changed.

Nairabell | 28 comments My page count is directly from the book. Is that not an acceptable source?

In general, yes. Since a user added a different page count, it would be good to check with her regarding where she got the conflicting data from.
