I bought this one too so will move it up my list of books and read in the next couple of days. (I am currently trying to prioritise the 189 books on my Kindle and it is so hard to choose what to read next!)

Good Lord, you girls were busy. I'm going to read to catch up. I'm busy at work, on a deadline, but'll try to pop up once in a while.

I read this book in one sitting. I can't tell you how much I appreciate an author with writing skills. It makes it so easy to read, no disjointed writing, easy and correct sentences -the story flows. Do you know how many times I have to read over and over a sentence or a paragraph to freakin' understand what's happening? There's a lot of sloppy writing in mm.

Yay some people finished! Ok my thoughts, behind a spoiler just in case:

1. I know some of you were uncomfortable with the whole cleaning business but that's what made it super interesting to me. I thought it was gross, but then again I love to read stuff by Stephen King and Clive Barker so it wasn't all that gross. Skippy had me really laughing out loud, which was great. I loved that he was so damned weird and gruesome. Best side character I've read in awhile imho. The way everyone showed up to bid on everything seemed so messed up but I can totally see it happening. People can be vultures.

2. I liked the whole Dave/Ryan/Jack "love" triangle. It made the book seem more like real life, instead of the usual insta-love which I hate. Sure Dave was an asshole but that seems realistic. He didn't want to be outed, they were really just fuck buddies so I get it. Some guys are just assholes. :shrug: I also get why he wasn't more jealous... He just didn't have strong feelings for Jack. I still wanted to hit him when he sat outside Jack's house drunk just so he could tell Ryan about his cousin. I was pretty pissed off at that point. I also hated that Jack didn't want to out Nick after he died. That guy did not deserve Jack's love or consideration in any way, shape or form. Ugh.

3. I liked the tone of the book, the way ZAM described Ryan and the lovely way she described the sex scenes. Everything about this book made me smile, except the crime scene ( or Nick beating the hell out of Jack) of course. I also like the way she inserts realistic angst into her books. I dislike those m/m novels where people are always happy and grinning and they fall in love, there's a token disagreement and then BAM... they're married. Come on, man. Give me some grit and "grime". I want to run through a gamut of feelings while I'm reading something, and I somewhat did that with this one.

4. I actually thought the ending wasn't all that rushed. It really just left me with a big grin on my face. The only thing I didn't like about this book was its length. I could've done with another 100 pages....50 at least!

In the beginning I thought Dave was too pushy but then you realize he's been there from the start of everything. I still think when he told Ryan it was more out of jealousy than friendship. Maybe I'm wrong.

I agree wholeheartedly. ZAM's books just flow, no matter whether they're 5 star or 3 star reads. There are quite a few good m/m writers and then there are a ton that are... not.

You know, it actually makes me want to read Dave's story. I'm always good for any story about redemption *lol*

So if you are watching a movie, you are going to fast forward to the end to see if you like? Miss all the suspense and action leading up towards the finish...
