The Great Gatsby book thoughts

So I listened to this last week. And I just don't get the hype. I know lots of people adore this book but can someone tell me what's so special about it? It just didn't pop out at me.

But the movie looks really cool I am excited to see that even though I wasn't too impressed by the book.
