Gabby Okay :) Glad to help

Alyce Jessica Shirvington The Violet Eden Chapters. Great books!

Anna This isn't a series, but I know you'll love this. For some reasons, the guy here reminds me of Jace. On the Jellicoe Road - Melina Marchetta

April Could you guys please join the Queens of Colour RP group?? The group doesn't have a lot going on. Please join it!! We need more people that will make it active. Thanks :)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) You should read The Selection series by Kiera Cass (The Selection & The Elite are published now). It's so good. Kind of like The Hunger Games. Sorry but besides other Cassie Clare books, nothing compares to TMI or TID. Nothing will be as amazing as those books:( It's sad but true (In my opinion). Legend by Marie Lu is good too (Like HG). Oh I almost forgot! THE DARKEST MINDS by Alexandra Bracken. I LOVE this book. It. Is. Amazing. You are missing out if you don't read this! (Divergent/ Hunger Games/ Amazingness)

Samantha The Escapist The Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver is quite similar in setting and story.

Tithe, Valient and Ironside by Holly Black are similar and in fact set in essencially the same universe as TMI. In City of Ashes on the way to see the silent brothers Clary and Jace see three people who they describe (a bald girl, a boy with a lot of facial piercings and..I forget) - these are the three main characters in Valient. The authors are friends.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray is a very good work of Urban Fantasy, also set in Victorian times like TIF but it's not steampunk.

A good way to find another Urban Fantasy author you like is to check out the short story compilations, you'll find a few listed on Cassandra Clare's page. Two are called Prom Nights from Hell and Vacations from Hell and they feature mostly the same group of authors. The stories are quite good.

Hope this helps!

Enyoung Try The Raven Boys or one of Sarah Beth Durst's book.

I'm not sure if this book might interest your liking but Graceling is also good as well.

Tell me how your adventure for more books goes. :>

You need to ask? Look Harry Potter up when you're at it. But I should remind you it's TMI reads like Harry Potter, not the other way around.

Jaedyn uglies

Valerie Try Daughter of Smoke and Bone

Also, for more depth on the same series, there's this:

To celebrate the hot teen movie The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones this August, Myths and Motifs of The Mortal Instruments will be free from the publisher for two days only!
Free August 23 and 24 2013 at http://www.amazon.com/Myths-Motifs-Mo...

Matt Elness The House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast is AMAZING! The 11th and final book in the series comes out October 15, 2013. You might think that ten boks in it would have gotten boring, NOT the case at all! All ten of them were non-stop reads for me :)

Adormina Maria Klingsporn I recommend Elizabeth Hunter serie:Elemental Mysteries - A Hidden Fire , This Same Earth , The Force of Wind, A Fall of Water Elemental Mysteries :)

Collette Skroch Read The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. it's really good!!

Addee The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa

Graceling series by Kristin Cashore

The Darkest Minds (series) by Alexandra Bracken

Nicole I'm looking around as well.

Vampires of morgansville is one of my favorite series and is absolutely amazing.I highly recommend that series. Also mystic city is good, the second book comes out next year. I've read so many. House of night is good. Fallen was amazing.

Though I think vampires of morgansville will keep you busy for awhile.

Jordan The Lux series is really good, kinda in that paranormal-jerky/hot guy realm. :)

Heather I just finished the nightshade series by andrea cremer. I loved it and wanted more even after 5 books! :)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) 5 books?! What?! I thought there were only three?

Heather Rachel- there are two prequel books that came out after the series, lucky i read them first. Rift and rise by andrea cremer they have new characters because its based in the 1800's but are really good as well at least in my opinion

Heather when you said that the nightshade series is good, does it have heaps of kissing ?? I only wanted something with a good amount but not heaps to fill each chapter ??

I thought the same! :)

Heather Lachlan- in my opinion it had its share per book, and fair share of action per book. :)

You can check out my new book series, "Into The Light (The Fallen Shadows: I)" it is similar to The Mortal Instruments. Here's a description of the first book of the series that was just released in September:

Katharine Macklemore had her life entirely mapped out. She was going to Harvard Law School and become a world-class lawyer but one frightful night in the town quarry derailed her plans. After being viciously attacked by a grotesque creature, Katharine meets the mysteriously attractive Ash who teaches her about her true destiny. With her best friend Molli at her side, she is thrust into a world she'd only heard about in Sunday school. Now Katharine must join a war she never knew existed, a war that has been going on for centuries between The Guides and The Descended. As Katharine gets used to her new reality she learns devastating news about her best friend and finds out that Ash is far more mysterious than she could have ever imagined.

It's available on Amazon.com in paperback and for your Kindle and through my website www.rebeccarcohen.net

Hay My new book is available on Wattpad. I'm a fourteen-year-old author and I'd love feedback, if that's fine with you Lachlan. It's part of a trilogy called A Game of Guns and the 2nd one is almost finished. I'm under @hayirving. :)

I would recommend Relentless by Karen Lynch because I think it's slightly similar to the mortal instruments but different enough that it's not copying it, plus I fell like the author thought about the storyline really well (you'll get what I mean if you read it. )It's a trilogy and has a female protagonist.
