I do a lot of ARC's and beta reads and I don't have a problem with signing a form to keep it quiet. It is always good policy to check with the author you are reading for to see when they would like reviews posted. Some want them before release date but most want you to wait. Good communication between everyone is the way it needs to be. :)

Good points Brandy. For a launch I'm working on now, I published early on Createspace but turned off all distribution channels. That let me order a 100 copies for pre-launch use but kept the book from showing up online. That gave me plenty of copies to run a workshop, to give out for promotion, and to send as ARCs.
I'm following the same general approach as my last book launch. Developed a step-by-step plan that addresses publishing steps, paid advertising, community activities, profile updates, website changes, and pre-drafted messages aimed at each segment of personal, business, and social media contacts.
