Have you ever thought about if Jace...

Have you ever thought about if Jace was put into a situation where both Clary and Alec are on the brink of death, but he can only save one?
Almost immediately, all Clace fans would scream Clary...but Alec is his parabatai. That would be an awful decision to make for him, but isn't it almost required that he go after Alec because of their bond? And if you thought about it, does it seem fair to rescue a girl that he has known for a few months over his own parabatai, no mattter how special that girl is? I don't know. Don't get me wrong, I am Clace all the way. I just thought that was interesting to think about. Would or should Jace pick his parabatai or the love of his life?

I feel like it would be a decision to try and save both no matter what. If the love of your life and best friend were both about to die there is no way you could actually choose someone who is better and deserves to live more. He would most likely, in my opinion, no matter what try and save them both at whatever means necessary.

Well, I do believe that Alec will die in CoHF (Or Magnus) (view spoiler)[because seriously; that break-up. phew! (hide spoiler)] But honestly, i think he would save Clary all the way. I don't believe the parabatai was very strong in this series, compared to The Infernal Devices with Jem and Will <--- that there was pure love associated with the parabatai.

I feel like its Jace and he would find a way to save both, but then i also feel like either Alec or Clary would see the turmoil going on in Jace's eyes about who to save and one of them would step up and say, rescue him/her. Or Jace would try to figure out a way to swap like Alec and Clary go free if he stays in their place.

I agree... if Jace saved one but not the other he would go on living with guilt and he would struggle to live with himself... We saw that he feels a lot of guilt for the first time in City of Bones when he stepped in to save Clary instead of Alec at Dorothea's, and afterwards it made him feel confused and like there was something wrong with him...

Honestly, I don't think he'll be able to choose between the two of them. So, I think he'll either stall time to save them both (like what everyone on here says) or he'll sacrifice himself for them, since it appears to me that he really loves Clary and Alec.

I feel like one of them, clary or alec, would try and sacrifice themselves. Or if it was possible to have them, Jace would sacrifice himself.
