I've recently started to work on a new idea I have for a novel. It centers on a number of characters that are followed through individual POV:s. While I do want to work with an overreaching narrative theme, I also want to work with individual ones (those of you who have read George R.R. Martin should be familiar with the concept). To make the journeys of these characters more interesting I want to give them individual purpose, goals and - themes for their own stories.
Some time ago I was browsing the WWW and found a great list of classical themes or common ones, and I thought I could develop something through them, but I can't seem to find the site again. Anyone know a site where examples of narrative themes are listed?
I'm also interested in exploring moral dilemmas, and suggestions of such are also welcome. Or just telling me what you have used for your writing! Happy for just about everything.
