Nellie ☾ (derpnerys) For odd reasons, I'd bring all 3 of LOTR books with me. If I'm gonna be there for quite a while, I won't be bored with having to re-read all three coz I'd probably discover things that I have overlooked while reading lol

Melissa Eisenmeier (carpelibrumbooks) The Bible (in case I need to build a fire- hey, the one at my parents' house is huge), and for sheer length to entertain myself Here be Dragons and the longest George R. R. Martin book I can find.

message 113: by Emily (last edited May 25, 2016 02:08AM) (new)

Emily Kelsall (emilythebooknerd) | 19 comments The complete works of Jane Austen (which does really exist in one volume) because I could read her over and over and never get bored (and I still have never read Northanger Abbey), Dreams of Gods & Monsters because I love Laini Taylor's writing and this book is one of my favorites, and one of those combined copies of Lord of the Rings for something I haven't read yet to keep me busy and so I could come back feeling like I had accomplished something I wouldn't have otherwise.
That means no Harry Potter, which would be really hard, but I have already reread them many times. If they come out with an omnibus of the series, it will definitely kick one of the others off, however.
My survival book would have to be counted as survival supplies.

julianna ➹ (juliannnnna) I would bring How to Build and Sail Small Boats - Canoes - Punts and Rafts A Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants: Eastern and Central North America How to Build Treehouses, Huts and Forts

But if you consider a survival guide all of those books, then I would also bring Hatchet by Gary Paulsen and probably the boat book.
