"You look kinda smart, so you're either experimenting for scientific reasons or doing drugs. That's if you're not just observing" He opened the flask strapped to his thigh, and took a quick gulp of water still eyeing Ronald, he didn't know the guy but he looked so familiar, maybe he saw him around school? Well whatever, he needs to move soon anyway if he wants to arrive anywhere by tomorrow.

"Sorry Hunt, wrong on all counts. In fact, I'll key you in on a very little known fact, some people actually just go for walks. Bizarre right?" Roland replied sarcastically. He shook his head and looked back toward the way he came.

[Moshira]

"Hah, maybe. Though it's very uncommon to take walks this deep in the forest with all the creatures inhabiting it" shaking his head, he decided to rest a bit before continuing his trip, he sat on the ground resting his back on a trunk of a tree that looks older than his great grandma. Taking out a soda can he muttered a spell under his breath to chill it. He forgot that the guy standing next to him can't do magic, way to go Aitche. "Umm would you like one?" He asked awkwardly.

Roland looked back to Hunter, and to his soda. He thought for a second, but decided there wasn't any harm in accepting a drink. "Yeah sure," he said with a slightly raised eyebrow. After Hunter tossed him a can, Roland also sat and cracked it open. It was quite refreshing as it hit his throat.

[Moshira]

Hunter gulped his drink as if he's been hiking for days. Trying to break the silence, this was extremely awkward he cleared his throat "how long have you been living in Daggers Hill?" You could easily know everything about him if you just use your powers hunter, no shut up. He probably looked like a crazy person to Ronald anyway.

I was born here. Well at least as far as I know," said Roland, pondering if there was a chance his parents had had lied to him about that. He didn't think so, but it wouldn't be the first time his parents had done something wacky. "So uh, have any cool powers, or whatever?"

Hunter wondered how did it feel to be born and live your entire life in a magical city without magic. It's no secret that without squibs this city would've been a wreck though. "Aha, reading minds. But not like in books and stuff i don't here everyone at the same time blah blah, I have to tune in and concentrate. Not that i use it anyway, it's so fucked up"

"How is it fucked up? I would kill to have that..." Roland had always wondered what it would be like to have a power, and mind reading was one of the ones he invisioned most. How great it would be to know what some one was thinking, knowing exactly how to please someone. So many possibilities could be opened

"Let's say it's way overrated" he shrugged "I mean, when you sneak into people's head sometimes you hear things that aren't supposed to be heard, things said subconsciously without even the subject thinking. It may piss you off, make you happy, worry you, or irritate you, in the end karma bites you in the ass for snooping and you end up looking stupid because it was just a fleeting thought that you happened to come across and take seriously" he took a deep breath, ughh the amount of trouble he found himself in for peeking...

Derrick wondered the forest for days. It was safe to say, he wasnt himself. One could easily determine something was wrong with him. Something badly wrong. He found himself piercing the air with his high pitched wails. He later saw a guy in the distance. He could tell by the build. He laughed sadistically as he approached Hunter.

[Moshira]

After talking for a while Hunter decided it's time to keep walking south. He already lost a lot of time wandering like that. Thinking about how things are in the mansion, he decided not to worry. Stefan is trustworthy and he was born to lead anyway.
Lost in his thought he realized that he cut quit a distance in just an hour or so and he was pleased. By this rate he'll be south Tomorrow or the day after.

Hunter was lost in calculations he almost didn't notice the girl walking his direction. He heard her thoughts actually before his eyes could see her. His power was slipping from under his control these days. Her brain however wasn't giving away much and by the looks of it he was older than her. He put on his million dollar smile as he approaches her, this usually unsettles strangers and give him the upper hand. "Hi there" he called when he was close enough to be heard.

Hunter knew he had a dazzling effect on girls and as he got a closer look she looked really young, her brain though felt like a hundred years old. He really should get out of her head. "Nice beanie" he said for the sake of saying something but yellow was his favorite color so it's not all act. "Did you just come from south?" He asked hoping he'd get any sense of direction. And secretly, to get her talking. Her head was really interesting.

"Confidence suits you well" he said raising his eyebrows. He was impressed because she seems so shy "I'm Hunter and I'm headed south" he continued and hoped she's be going there as well, because he was getting quit lonely and he's not done with her yet. He was a jackass and he knew it, but he doesn't hurt anyone. Or at least he doesn't think so. He was just used to girls pining after him he stopped noticing. Now he sounded like an arrogant fuck. Shaking his head he asked her "where are you headed?"

"All the way south? Don't you have better things to do? Like umm school?" He was surprised she'd walk all way for fun. Vee would bail after 2 miles, though she is more than capable to make the trip. Focusing back on Kalia he noticed she wasn't so young after all. Still younger than him that's for sure but probably 17 or 18. "Plus you don't know me. You shouldn't stroll around with strangers in the forest" he said warning her even though he'd never in a million years harm her.

Hunter admired her pretense confidence because she was shy but she played the role of a badass well. She doesn't want to be underestimated. He took a couple step till he was close to look directly into her eyes and when she focused on him he suddenly swiped her legs off the ground with a swift move of his right foot and she almost hit the ground but he was fast enough to stop her from hitting an inch away. He smiled cockily and shook his head "you're smart, but you need training" he said helping her to her feet. "You can tag along though i don't mind" flashing her his smile again.

"Of course I can't resist any of this" he said looking her up and down jokingly. After she was on her feet again they started walking and it took all of his will power to not sneak into her head "so are you from up north?" He asked as looking at her to see if he ran into her before. Probably not he would remember a face like hers if he'd seen it. Hell he would've made a move if he met her before. But there's something about how she walks with ease in the forest that stopped him.

"Born and raised " he said proudly. People come from all over the world to live in a peaceful magical community being one of the native families is ironically rare. "What about you? Or are you just passing by?" He hoped not. He really thought they could be friends, she'll fit so easily in his group. But of course he'll screw the whole thing somehow.

Hunter sat next to her and took the bottle with a smile. "I have no siblings, but there are two people who are probably even better than siblings Vee and Stefan" he left out the part where Stefan is the heir of Dagger hill. He noticed how close he was to Kalia. "Um how old are you exactly?" He is not gonna hit on a minor.

He didn't expect her to be 19, she looks much younger than Vee. But he was relieved anyway "I'm 21 in just over a month" he replied. Leaning forward a bit to give her space to lay back comfortably. He wondered if they're ever gonna make it south "how long do you think it'll take to reach the south border?" He asked closing his eyes as a breeze hit his face, but he could still see her in his head. Drop dead gorgeous hidden under a lot of clothes.

"Oh no need to hurry, I'm not expected before dawn anyway" he sounded so medieval but so is his grandfather. "What were you doing roaming in the forest anyway?" He wondered if she'll answer him truthfully and was a bit disappointed when she moved further. She wasn't as comfortable around him as he thought.

Hunter didn't see that coming, she talked easily to him and he was a relative stranger. Not such a smart move from a smart girl. He didn't know how to reply to that so he held her hand and squeezed it lightly "I'm sorry" and he meant it. Yeah he still wanted into her pants but that was at the back of his mind now. "So who takes care of you and your sister?" He asked curiously.

"Oh I'm sorry miss I don't need anyone" he said chuckling. Why does she get so defensive is beyond him, but she probably is making up for her innocent image. She was smart though, avoiding his question. He stood up suddenly pulling her up with him "come on gorgeous, being lazy won't get us anywhere. Talk while you walk"? Smirking at her surprised expression, she really doesn't know how to take a compliment.

"Awh you flatter me" he said dramatically touching his heart. "But honestly There's not much to know about me, my family is pretty normal, my friends are assholes but then so am I. My circle is always full of drama, you should pass by sometime. I guarantee a good show" isn't that why he's headed south in the first place? He hoped things had calmed down by now. He imagined Kalia among his friends and smiled, if Vee doesn't make her cry, she'll fit in in a heart beat.

"Oh honey you're so trusting" he shook his head as he brought the hand he was holding to his lips and kissed it lightly. "To be fair, they're good assholes, I know they would die for me in a heart beat and I'd do the same. But we're jerks nevertheless. You'll see when you come over" he still didn't drop her hand yet and didn't intend to. He wanted to drape his arm around her but didn't want to scare her.

Hunter smiled at her eagerness, she was making this too easy and he didn't want to hurt her. He never intends on being in a relationship. Ever. Friends with benefits? Sure. It worked for him so far. But he wasn't sure this was Kalia's thing. "Alright, we make it south, get my business with grandpa over with, then you make the trip back north with me" He wasn't sure that they'll be back today though. His grandfather can be a pain in the ass. He draped his arm around her and pulled her close "What am I gonna do with you?" He said mischievously "Vee is gonna eat you up" he said chuckling.

Her confidence is probably the one thing that'll make Vee over look how hot she is. This and that she doesn't dress to kill. As long as Vee gets her spotlight all is good. "If you can't handle Vee I wouldn't have agreed to take you back with me. Trust me, she eats pretties for breakfast" If she was here, she would beat the shit out of him. "But tell your sisters where you're going and with whom. In case she's craving redheads" Okay she wasn't THAT bad. "Do you want to pass by your place to grab a change of clothes? Because you're spending the night" it wasn't a question really, it'll be saturday anyway so no school.

He was glad that she didn't notice his slip when he said 'sisters' because she only told him about one. He picked up the other from her head. He felt her shift uncomfortably next to him so he took his hand off. "Well it's a long trip to just stay for one day" he said matter of factly. "I think we're almost there" he said pointing ahead as the boarder started to appear.

The way she said us and bit her lip made him want to kiss her right there. He started to doubt that she was all that innocent. "I'm not big on planning, but I'm sure we'll find something to do" He said as they passed through the border, he whistled impressed by how different the south is. It's like he's been to a different country, no wonder his grandfather moved here. He offered her his hand because from here he can apparate into his grandpa's house. The forest had charms to prevent apparating with in for some reason. He offered her his hand "I'm gonna apparate us now"

He didn't notice her looking at him. Hee was too busy looking everywhere else. There really was something about this place that made him all warm with happiness. It was almost pour bliss

He soon say down with her. He was closer to her than usual. He could feel the warmth of her skin finally against his. It felt nice. He took it a deep breath through his nose and sighed happy.

"At least three times a month. Me and my brother used to come up here all the time and fish" he told her and looked down. "Sadly, he wasn't much of a swimmer... I was a lot weaker at the time.. I couldn't save him without drowning myself" he told her as he looked back at her. That's when a small tear recalled his eye. He felt like it was his fault. "I tried so hard to help him, but I-I just wasn't strong enough swimmer" he told her

"I say that with every passing day" he told her softly and looked back down. It was a tradition that he came up there on a Thursday and pay his respects to his brother.

"Three years ago next Thursday" he told her and stood up. "Excuse me for a second." He says and began walking into the ticket part of the woods. He walked for a good four solid minutes. When he knew he was alone, he pressed his back up against the tree and skid down it before crying softly

After a few minutes, he wipes his eyes and walks back into her direction. He finally gets back and throws a fake smile on his face. "okay, you ready to keep moving?" he asked in the hallway tone he could muster

"I knew you wouldn't understand.." He pulled his hand away from her and began waking back towards the car.

He stopped but didn't turn around.. "Do you know what my last words were to him? Before we went fishing.. I told him he was a pathetic excuse for a brother.. When it really was me." He told her and slowly began walking again

Her words broke him. He dropped to his knees and began crying. All this has built up inside of him. Finally he had someone to help him release it. He just sat there and cried

"Please, tell me I'm a good person" he asked her as he composed himself slightly. The sadness and guilt was there. Maybe hearing her day it would help him

"And I just realized something.. We're in the air" he told her with a nervous laugh

"That's another reason I don't cry much" he told her with a laugh and held on to her tighter. He smirked as he began getting higher and higher almost to the top of the trees

"It's okay.. Now look at how beautiful the town looks from here" he told her as he turned them to the direction of the turn

"Now look over here." He says s he spun them 180° and you could barely see the fence. "That area is the forbidden part. Looks weird huh?" he asked her.

"Yeah, sure" he told her and began moving closer and closer to the black. Then a smell hit him. It smelt wierder as they got closer

"I told you didn't I" he said as he scooped a piece of the ash up and let it fall from his hand. It was almost heartbreaking to think that this could have been beautiful land with all sorts of animals.

"It would be one of the wierdest things you have ever seen." He told her and gave one last look around. "We should leave before someone sees us" he said taking her and and beginning to take off again

"Umm, okay I guess" his gut was telling him it was a bad idea, but curiosity for the best of him and he soon followed
