Kamil | 938 comments And I'll go first....
We got not one, but two amazing sci-fi with an intriguing world ( we all know Ghost Planet has flaws and the romance is the top priority) so I'll focus on Song of scarabeus...

The world is a distant one, and (in comparition to "In death") the terminology alienates the reader, but do you, as I did, find it to be due to an accurate world building?

Also in general, what's the deal with pregnancy and telepathy in the genre? The eagles can't do all the work!
And why pregnancy is seen as the end of a heroine's journey instead of the quest that gives access to the DLC?

Serendi Eagles? DLC? You've lost me. Are pregnancy and telepathy linked here or separate? You *did* say this is in general (haven't read all yet).

I are very confused....

The eagles are a reference to tolkien's work; when some superior power (eagles, a ghost army or anything) saves the day...
DLC stands for downloadable content
And i was speaking generally

Emily | 266 comments I understood where you're coming from Kamil. Why is pregnancy an ending rather than a beginning. And the eagles are supposedly a deus ex machina thingy.

My questions:
Does it matter to you if a science fiction world is completely fleshed out. (i.e. Ghost Planet)?
Hard or soft sci fi? Or does it matter as along as it's good?
Did the language bog you down in Song of Scarabeus?

another person that watches The story board?

Katie (katie_jones) | 348 comments My question is how would the ladies have reacted differently if they had found themselves in the same situation as Elizabeth? (Basically, Boo! You're dead, and now you must be seen but not heard, and you're dependent on this stranger)

Alternatively, what if you had been in Edie's shoes? Would you have shown the same amount of patience with Finn? Or would you have used the link to shock him into submission when he blocked the escape hatch door?

message 8: by Molly (new)

Molly (mollyrichmer) I'd like to know which book the ladies preferred. Song of Scarabaeus was definitely my favorite.

Also, thoughts on the seemingly ubiquitous hot guy Irish accent? Is it starting to feel cheesy or do you still like it?

message 9: by Amy (new)

Amy Verdone | 30 comments @Emily ...why is pregnancy and ending instead of a beginning?
As a mother of two I can assure you it is definitely an ending lol the end of you and your partner being a couple. Now you are a family. Also.. Babies kill romance.. Kill it dead...at least for the first while. I can see clearly why pregnancy would be an ending in a romance book.

My questions for the ladies:
Ghost Planet: Do you think it was a little too easy to find the super secret rebel/alien camp? Even the fiancée found it having never been to the planet before.
What the hell happened to the Aunt? Where did she go?
Song of Scarabeus: Did the romance build too slowly for you or did you enjoy the pace? No sexy times?
Since tethering was a central obstacle in both books... Which would you prefer? In Ghost Planet you'd be dead but your tethering makes
flowers grow when you get it on! In Song of Scarabeus you can zap him if he got out of hand but ...your sexy feelings makes him want to
throw up or double over in pain lol

Hehe...you asked it before I had a chance to do so. I can't wait to hear Bonnie's answer to this one.

Ha yes love the storyboard.

DarthVixReads | 35 comments My question to the ladies is: "What are your thoughts on the whole "connection" thing between Elizabeth and Murphy? I hate that we don't ever get a definite answer on WHY they have this connection or if this is definitely a unique ability for the two of them. Maybe I missed it!

message 14: by Kamil (new)

Kamil | 938 comments Another question popping to my head, what do you think of the cover art for both books? While there can't be anything to complain about the execution of them, don't you think they leave little space to immagination? I know book covers are always wrong, yet it makes hard to cast anyone when (on the cover) we got faces in HD
