I've been looking for a Fine/Fine, or pristine copy of Jaws it must be the Doubleday & Company, Inc., New York, NY, 1974 1st printing, Hard Cover version. I'm not looking for the British version at this time.

Jaws by Peter Benchley

I seen that book on Abes, I knew it wouldnt meet your standards as far as condition went so I didnt say anything.

Keep hunting, you'll land one. You always do.

I haven't found a copy worth buying yet. I have a feeling a pristine copy will fetch 500.00 and up.

LOL! Your right, I want the 1st/1st, American release. I found all kinds of 1st/1st British copies and good prices, just cant find that flawless American version.

Every copy I come across has a torn dust jacket to varying degrees. I'm sure there is one floating around in pristine condition. I just couldn't bear seeing the price on such a book.
