Not Year of the Unicorn because there were 13 brides--and they weren't picked up at the homes of their fathers.
Altho it IS a great book. (What can I say--I've been a devoted fan of Andre Norton since I was 13, which was back in the Dark Ages, according to my daughter and grandkids.)
And none of the covers that I know of look anything like a Viking.
comes closest with the snowscape.

A troop of mounted warriors come to a girl's father's house to claim her because of an arranged marriage. She is afraid - they have a reputation for being brutal, savage, possibly that they change into beasts. She goes with them and learns that they are gentle and good. I'm not sure I finished it, so I don't remember if it turned out they changed into some kind of animal or not. I'm not sure if they were Vikings or similar or if the picture on the front of a man with a horned helmet just made me think that.
