Tanner I feel like i am in my own world

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Me too. A world where I can just forget everything that's going on around me...ahhhhh.

message 3: by Ruth (new) - added it

Ruth I get swept up into a whole other universe expressing the other character's feelings, memories, the pain or anger, confusion, sadness, happiness and I forget everything is around me. Books are our escape. So escape

totally agree

Mathew Alive.

Melissa Like the real world doesn't matter. Like I'm actually part of the story.

onceuponadreamer (nav) i can't think about anything else until the book is finished!:)

Storm depends on the book, one book can make me feels like i'm on cloud nine, floating through the clouds, others make me feel like i'm on an adventure

Anna When I read a book, I just feel like I'm in a whole new world and everything is real. If you sit outside my bedroom while I'm reading, you can hear me screaming things, such as "OMG!" or "He/She did not just say that" or "That's not happening right now". When I finish a series I cry so hard, and I feel like my whole world is falling apart and nothing matters anymore. The same happens to me when a character I like dies. I just really enjoy reading, I can't imagine my life without books!

message 10: by Anna (new) - rated it 2 stars

Anna 335 I didn't like this book at all

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Um well when I read, this is basically how it is. I become the characters and I live in their world, feel their pain and get close as anything with the characters.

That's all.

onceuponadreamer (nav) extremely emotional

well said!

Safe. Comforted. When I'm lost in the labyrinth of words, nothing matters but the book-world and what I think of it.

Andrea When i am really into a book i feel like i could climb into the book and live there

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

complete total passion, losing ones self in a book is the best feeling in the world one person can have, and no other emotion could stand a chance against it.

Coleen The happiest. I would be always reminded that THIS (the books) made my world upside down.

Bethany It's like i'm in the theatre/cinema, because I have a screen in my head where i can see the characters and how they interact, just like watching a film while I'm reading. also if a film of a book comes out my perception of the characters before the film don't change. For Example in the Mortal Instruments series, even though it specifically says that Jace is blonde, I always picture him as brown haired.

April Could you guys please join the Queens of Colour RP group?? The group doesn't have a lot going on. Please join it!! We need more people that will make it active. Thanks :)

S I feel like I am in a separate world. I block out other sounds and my eyes are LITERALLY glued to the book.

Zhanaestilinski Completely tuned out of whatever is going on around me. Well it actually depends on the book, if its boring I usually read the same paragraph repeatedly w/ out noticing with this remote look on my face. If its really good, I get over emotional and shout and laugh out loud...sort of like the people in the theatre that no one can stand.

Kelsey dossa I completley tune out the world, get into the characrters space and just enjoy the new world. (as long as the book is good otherwise i just throw the book and scream (jk) :P

Patricia Kaniasty I love going to bed at night to read and enter another world for awhile. Then waking up in the morning and getting to be me again. I always picture myself as one of the lead characters. This way, I go on a new adventure every night. My husband is always in awe of the range of emotions that pour out of me over words on paper. I fall asleep watching TV.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood like im in my own little world and no one can get to me.

Rachel (APCB Reviews) I feel excited and anxious and I (Like Cassie) am in my own little world and am isolated from society from the second I open the book, to the time that I close it. If I REALLY get in to a book, I can read while walking, while in the jacuzzi, while running on the treadmill, while watching tv, and so on.

Caraline addicted and isolated from everything but the book... ohmygod isn't it just the best!? :)

message 28: by Cara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Cara I am the protagonist.

Devin Dehart Within a whole new world, as if I am right with the main character.

Caraline Cara wrote: "I am the protagonist."

completely

Daisy97 Zajicek Completely oblivious to what was actual going on around me.;)

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

no more stress from the "real world" >.<

Coleen It's like I have the books always to look forward to. :)

message 34: by low (new) - rated it 4 stars

low I get super excited when I find new books to read. When I read them, I get lost in another world. I can tune out the noise around me and focus so much on the book that when I'm pulled out of the book, I'm shocked to hear how loud it is in a room--and I hadn't noticed it at all xD

Nicki I AM wrote: "depends on the book, one book can make me feels like i'm on cloud nine, floating through the clouds, others make me feel like i'm on an adventure"

I agree :) but a bad one will definitely fail to give you that feeling. (I loved Catching Fire though)

message 36: by low (new) - rated it 4 stars

low I lived Catching Fire too! I can't wait for the movieee!!!

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood oooooh!!! the movie comes out this November! i just finehsed the book a few weeks ago now and LOVED IT!!!

message 38: by low (new) - rated it 4 stars

low I'm glad!!!!!!!!!

Margo I get absorbed in a good book and tune everything else out - noise, hunger, thirst, everything. I love when a book is able to do this. I lose track of time and it's the sign of a really, really good book! :)

BubblesTheMonkey In another world

Hannah In another world, nothing else matters, i can forget about whats going on outside of my brain.
It does depend on the book what you feel but if its good i will generally feel what the characters are feeling or get so absorbed in it until i have to enter the real world again.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Like everything is gone and reality has vanished and its just me and the book just like when i draw its the same..... i did throw catching fire against the wall when i read it.. i hate tht one the most

yeah the same

Stephanie Alvarez i feel like i'm in a different world, and there's nothing else around me. Like nothing matters, but this story and i get tied to the characters and love them.

message 45: by Luffy Sempai (new) - added it

Luffy Sempai When I read a good book, never-had-before memories are manufactured. Also many times my mind interprets the stories that outdoes (if any) the film adaptations. My mind grabs a face from an avatar, a movie, a comic book, an ad, a childhood inclination and pastes it onto a character. I get to sink onto the floor of my mind and drink in the words. Good books make time irrelevant, and boredom is hunted to extinction.

Teresa If a Book is REALLY GOOD, I can totally get into it, as if I'm right there.
I'm not lying, I was reading a Book one time and I was totally right there in the Book, that whoever was saying something to me had to say it like 3 times before I heard them. It made me sad. I went back to the Book as soon as I was done with whatever I had to do and totally got back into the Book again.
Yes, it was that good.
I can pretty much listen to Music while I'm reading and understand everything I read later whenever someone ask me, if they ask.
I LOVE Books. It's almost like you meet new people and get to be their friend, too.
I especially LOVE it when I get to know the Character personally. And also, it helps when you read a Book and you actually like the Characters. I also LOVE those Characters I would LOVE to be friends with.

Me 2

Brittany Have you every had a dream and you can see your self there but your also on the outside watching in? Lol, that is kind of what it feels like to me when I am reading a book, if that makes sense.

ALIVE

Nicole Reading books lets me live out all the fantasies and adventures I never knew I had or wanted. Life is so much more rich when you can live other people's experiences through the written word.
