Melanie (melaniejennifer) First Book:

Midnight for Charlie Bone
by: Jenny Nimmo

Good easy read. I feel it has a good premise and hopefully the rest of the series is enjoyable.

Melanie (melaniejennifer) Second Book:

Poet to Poet Sylvia Plath Poems Selected by Ted Huges

I love poetry and find Sylvia's writing haunting and a bit disturbing.

Melanie (melaniejennifer) Third Book:

Maurice: A Novel
by: E.M. Forster

I have tried reading Forster in the past and could not get into his books. My husband has his complete set and after a suggestion from a friend I decided to read this one. I loved it!

Melanie (melaniejennifer) Fourth Book:

The Birth House
by: Ami Mckay

This one I finished in 2 days. A very easy read but I absolutely love the story. Very interesting.

Melanie (melaniejennifer) I can't believe I forgot to post this!

Fifth Book:

The Year of Magical Thinking
by Joan Didion

I heard a lot about this book and went into it with hesitation but I really like it. I liked that it was written more as an essay than a "book".

Melanie (melaniejennifer) Sixth Book:

New Complete Guide to Sewing
Reader's Digest Editors

Lots of info which is a bit overwhelming for a beginner but I'm sure it would come in handy on numerous occasions.
