I re-read often, usually during times of reading fatigue when I want the comfort of holding a book in my hand but don't want to work too hard! My most common re-reads are:
The Shining
The Catcher in the Rye
Wuthering Heights
The Diary of a Nobody
Three Men in a Boat
Any Phillip Marlowe novel
Adrian Mole Diaries (series)
Even though I do it to relax in familiar territory, I always find I get something different out of each go round, like appreciating a character more or enjoying the nuances in the language. I do try and limit myself to about 5 a year though to make sure I keep discovering new books too!

I only reread books when I don't remember what happens and if I really like the book. otherwise, i wouldn't be able to do it. I reread the Percy Jackson series books and I reread the Summoning and the Awakening. Now that I think about it, I only have reread those books. I just usually skip through books finding my favorite parts and rereading it.
No, I have a huge pile of books I've yet to read. Once I read all the books though I might re-read some of my favorites.
I reread a good book once every few years but I don't uasly forget a book and they're boring the second way round
I usually just read a book once, but I have reread some of my favorites, like Hunger Games and The Fault In Our Stars.
I don't usually reread books. I do have a few that I've kept for late at night when I can't sleep or when I need something to lift my spirits. Don't read the whole book, just my favorite bits. Nothing very profound. Geogette Heyer or Lois McMasters Bujold are two of the common choices. Something to make my laugh.
There are a number of books growing up that were "required reading" that I have gone back to reread to see if it was as good or as horrible as I remember... Some examples being: The Giver, Tale of Two Cities, Walk Two Moons, and Hamlet. However, I still want to reread In the Time of The Butterflies and Dandelion Wine... One because I remember it being excellent and the other to see if it's as bad as I remember ;)
Not including the Bible, I can probably count on one hand the number of books I've ever reread. It seems a little counterintuitive to me to read a book again when I could spend that time reading something new.On those few occasions when I've read a book a second time, it's usually because I went back to find a particular passage and got sucked in again. That happened to me with Barry Hughart's incredible debut novel "Bridge of Birds" and one or two others.
Of course I reread. Especially the week before a book based movie comes out. Most of the time it's just to relive the book because it's so good.
Heck yes I do. I have all my favorites on standby so I can reconnect with some of my favorite characters, story line, etc. :)
I do not re-read all the way through books I have already read. I do re-read parts that I enjoyed the first time.
I almost never re-read books. I just honestly don't want to ruin it for myself by getting rid of the specialness of it. I'm the type that will get tired of something if seen a lot, I'm like that with books, movies, and music so I really limit myself to repeats. The few times I re-read a boom is when enough time has passed for me so that it feels like I'm experiencing it all over again. I also don't have the time to re-read so I rather spend that time on a new book.
I really enjoy re-reading especially if it is a book I have particularly enjoyed. I wouldn't re-read a book more than annually though.
Yes I like to re-read, if the book is one of my favourites or sometimes I only read the parts I enjoyed in a book and skip the rest.
Yes. I've reread all of Jane Austen's major novels, Jane Eyre, Little Women, Like Water for Chocolate, When the Elephants Dance, and Snow Falling on Cedars.
I love to re-read a novel I've enjoyed. I have to make sure that enough time for me to have forgotten bits has gone by though. I also love to re-read books I read years ago....perspective changes as you get older!
Actually, no. I don't re-read. I guess knowing how it ends and what happened dampens the whole mystery to it. But maybe one day, after several more years, i'll start re-reading. But for now, I don't. Too many books out there that I still need to read ;) haha xD
I reread series all the time! especially if I've had to wait a long period of time for the next book to come out ♥books
Yep! I do that too. I reread Harry Potter a lot, and Lord of the Rings. And I am rereadning The Hungergames. Ella Enchanted used to be my favorit book.
I re-read books occasionally. I love reading the Harry Potter series over and over, and I don't think I will ever tire of those! But other than that it takes a really special and great book to read again, because there are SO many other books out there I want to read. The last book I re-read was The Night Circus. Such an amazing book!!!
I love re-reading books and I like to read books again if a new one in the series is coming out so the story is fresh in my head
Now that my son is getting older I find myself rereading all my favorites from my childhood with him. Boxcar children, redwall series, etc. hes not into Harry Potter otherwise I'm sure we would be reading those as well.
I'm one of those people who says I'm going to re-read but then never gets to it. It's hard to reread when there are so many things I haven't read. But I do want to reread the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik - I have forgotten the plot after so long of not reading.
I do re-read all of my favorites :) I have read the Harry Potter series so many times, and at least once a year I re-read The Lord of the Rings series! :)
I do re-read, a lot actually. I'm always down to re-read Jennifer Fallon or the Harry Potter Boxset...
I've read The Outsiders more times then I can count, as well as The Iron Fey Boxed Set: The Iron King, The Iron Daughter, The Iron Queen, The Iron Knight
So yes, I do re-read often
Rethinking this question. It seem, before I really jumped in to Goodreads and started looking at some of the book clubs selections and following author and what they recommend I would re-read because it was safe. I knew I already liked it and it was a no brainer. Now I have to-read list that I will not possible live long enough to get though ( That is unless I end up with one of those Futurama head in jar life)
