A successful businessman recommended this and I think it’s one of the most important books I have ever read.

Felix Dennis describes himself as irascible and arrogant and this comes across in spades. You wouldn’t want to go on a boating holiday with ‘the bearded dwarf’ but you’d back him with your last £20 to make more money than anyone you know.

His ‘off the cuff’ style is jam packed full of hard earned wisdom, craggy charm and fierce intellect.

How to get Rich tells it like it is. There are no shortcuts to getting rich but if you are willing to sacrifice friends, family and harness the fear of failure then what have you got to lose?

The author points out time and again that a guide to being rich is not a guide to be happy but wastes little time in naval gazing or proposing “success mantras”.

In fact, the nub of the book is that you’d be foolish to attempt the long and hard role without the true desire to succeed at any price.
