Search only works by ISBN, not title

I'll be reading Snow Falling on Cedars next month for a book club, so I wanted to add it to my to-read shelf. When I search the title I get several results for study guides and an omnibus edition but not the book itself. When I search by ISBN (067976402X) the book is correctly displayed. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Evana,

There are 74 editions of the book, and quite a bit of books written about 'Snow Falling on Cedars' that have the title in their title as well, so you cannot expect that only ISBN 067976402X will turn up when you search for 'Snow Falling on Cedars'

All other editions will show when using a full text search, including Study Guides. Currently there is a slight glitch in the search system, so if you don't find the title on a Words based search, use the ISBN, ISBN13 or ASIN and it should show up. Hope that helps some... :)

I didn't expect to get only the book without study guides, omnibus editions, movie stuff, teacher guide, etc. I was disappointed that no edition of the actual book was in the 11 items of the search result. I can change editions once I'm on the page. I can search by ISBN. I just wondered why this was happening.

It's the first result when I search now, but it may not have been yesterday. We are in the process of changing some things about how the search indexing works, and I this book may have been got caught in the reindexing.
