"They can't," Beven said, but honestly she wasnt sure. The rest of the flock didnt know Hayden like Beven did. Kevin will be a hard one to convince

"You don't sound so sure." Hayden said softly.
"No, I am. Just Kevin will be hard to convince." Beven whispered, just incase anyone was listening
"But it will be alright. Ill convince him." Beven said, at least she hoped she could. He seemed to trust her, a little
Hayden sighed. "But what if we can't?" she asked. "He is the leader of the flock..."
"If you leave, Im comming with." Beven said stearnly, she refused to leave Hayden.
Hayden bit her lip. "I can't let you do that. I can't hurt you."
Hayden bit her lip. "I suppose so..."
Beven smiled, "See, there we go!" she said happily for no reason
Hayden smiled. "There's no stopping you, so I won't even argue."
"You catch on fast," Beven teased and smiled
Hayden smiled. "I pick things up quickly. The only way to survive when you're blind."
"Guess so," Beven said and leaned against the building
Hayden rubbed her head gently. "My head still hurts." she mumbled.
Beven looked at Hayden sadly, "Maybe the medicine hasnt kicked in yet. Or maybe I didnt give you a high enough dose." she said hopefully
Hayden bit her lip. "I don't know. How long has it been?" she asked.
Beven thought for a minute, "Maybe 30 minutes?"
Hayden bit her lip. "Huh." she said softly. "I'll live."
"Your strong," Beven said, trying to comfort Hayden
Hayden shook her head. "No, but if I can live through waking up every morning and knowing it'll be a sightless day, I can live through a headache." she rubbed her head, not wanting to say how much it really hurt.
Beven would suggest that Haydent sleep, but knew she would only have nightmares. She didnt want that..
Hayden leaned lightly against the wall. "I'm so tired..."
"Then sleep. If you have a nightmare, Ill wake you." Beven said
Hayden bit her lip. "Promise?" she asked softly. She didn't want to hit her head again. She was tired of the throbbing.
Hayden nodded and curled herself in a ball, nowhere near the wall this time. "Okay." she mumbled, her eyelids closing before she could say anything else.
Beven smiled lightly as Hayden fell asleep. She made a fire to make sure she could see her surroundings
Hayden hugged her knees tightly, sleeping peacefully for the first time in ages.
Beven watched around, she sat against the wall
Hayden twisted in her sleep, but only out of discomfort. She rested her arm under the cut on her head and relaxed.
Beven warmed her hands against the fire, making her feel alive
Hayden sighed softly, shivering a little, and was then still.
Beven didnt take her eyes off of Hayden, watching her carefully
Hayden shivered again, curling herself more tightly into a ball, and hugged her knees tightly. Her face was contorted into a mask of pain and horror, but she didn't move.
Beven watched Hayden, wondering if she should wake her up. Her face wore an expression of terror...
Hayden rolled over, resting her chin on her knees. She relaxed, but didn't lose her horrible expression. And she was still cold.
Beven decided to let Hayden sleep, and made a fire near her to warm her
Hayden relaxed, her expression calm, as soon as she was warm. Her face was serene, peaceful, and relaxed, and she stretched out, far more comfortable now than before.
Beven smiled, Hayden look at ease. She listened to the fire crackle
Hayden smiled faintly in her peaceful sleep, but her head still throbbed.
Beven was memorized by the flames, flickering. She was able to make out a dance-like pattern to it
Beven watched the sun rise. Hayden made it though the entire night.
Hayden awoke with a start, bolting upright. "Don't... know... dark... lights..." she said between heavy breaths. Her eyes were wide with panic.
"Hayden?!" Beven said worried and put both hands on her shoulders
Hayden breathed heavily, her eyes wide in fear. Her spine was rigid, heart racing. "Oh, wow." she mumbled, closing her eyes again.
