"Nothing, cant sleep. You?" Beven answered and noticed that Hayden was rubbing her head. She reached over and pulled out the medicine that Isable brought back and handed some to Hayden
Hayden took the medicine in her hand. "What's this?" she asked, feeling it carefully. It felt like a bottle, but she wasn't sure.
"Its a pill. Advil, to help with the headaches. Put it in your mouth and swallow it when you drink some water." Beven explained and handed Hayden her water bottle
Hayden nodded. "Thanks." she said after she swallowed the pill. She leaned against the wall, eyes still closed, head throbbing hard in her skull.
Hayden nodded, biting her lip as the movement jostled her head. "Thanks." she mumbled, resting her chin on her knees.
Hayden sighed, thinking about what had happened earlier. "Listen. I know we're not exactly seeing eye to eye right now--aren't I a funny, I'm not seeing at all--but I'm sorry. Okay? I'm sorry."
Hayden bit her lip. "I'm only the way I am because I'm blind. I'm not superficial. I'm not conceited. I don't waste time caring what I look like. In a way, that makes me stronger. So what if I'll never be able to live alone? I don't want to see again at the cost of other people's happiness. And if I do ever see again, I'll be a totally different person. I'll hardly ever listen to my ears ever again. I would judge based on appearance, not what you actually are. So in ways, it's better to be blind..."
Beven nodded understanding. "I see. Thats why your awesome. You dont need superficial things to be you." she added and smiled
Hayden hugged Beven even more tightly. "I'm so sorry." she whispered, tears running down her cheek. "I never wanted to hurt anyone."
Beven couldnt help but feel like she reason Hayden was crying. "Me too," she said sincerly and was ready to cry with her, but held it in
Hayden hugged Beven tightly. "You have no reason to be sorry. Don't be." she insisted, tears running down her cheek.
Beven shook her head. It was her fault Hayden was crying, she made her feel bad and this is what happened. Maybe Beven wasnt the only reason she was crying, but she was defiently one of them. She let a single tear slip down her cheek
Hayden wiped her eyes carefully. She couldn't see the tear running down Beven's cheek. She couldn't see anything. "I'm sorry."
"I don't think I'll ever feel forgiven, though. I'll still get disdainful looks every once in a while when people think I don't see them. I'll still get nightmares from my father, reminding me of what I've done." Hayden shook her head.
((Opps, I'll change it. You didnt see anything.... ;) ))"Me either, your probley my best friend...." Beven admitted. She hadnt know Hayden for very long, but it felt like they knew a lifetime worths of stuff about eachother
((hehehehe.))"I agree wholeheartedly." Hayden nodded. She felt like she had known Beven forever. Maybe it was because they related so well somehow.
Beven was happy to hear Hayden say that, "Well, now we need to come up with a cover story. Kevin and everyone knows that you took off, and we have to mention your dad somehow, knowing he is bound to show up again...."
Hayden sighed. "Uh... I'm clueless. Why don't I just come clean? They can't hate me if I'm honest, can they?" she asked nervously.
