Hayden sat on a bench, waiting for her dad to come to her. He knew she was suspicious. "Hayden." he said warningly.
"What do you want?" she asked sullenly.
"I discovered some money missing from my bank account earlier... care to give details?"
Hayden shrugged. "Why should I know anything about missing money? I'm a blind girl, I don't know anything."
Beven stopped around a corner. Being able to hear everything. Was it true, this was the guy she stole money from. The pieces fell together, Hayden could easily be a traitor, it broke Beven's heart
Hayden shook her head. "I don't want to do this..." she mumbled, knowing her father wouldn't hear. "I just want to be happy..." "Hayden, you and I both know that's not true. You're so smart." Her father insisted.
"Since when do you care!?" she asked angrily and stomping on his toes. "Do you know how much I hate the idea of what you're making me do? I can't do it! I can't hurt these people. Not for my own greed! Don't come back for me! I won't go!" she said, stomping on his foot again. "Leave me alone!" Hayden turned and fled back the way she'd come, hoping that didn't make her a horrible traitor to the flock.

((Bye!))Beven listened, not believeing what she was hearing. Hayden was a traitor... It almost brought tears to her eyes, she truste her.. She stayed even after Hayden had left to see the mans reaction.
Hayden's father pulled out a cell phone. "She's betrayed us. Gone to live with those screwups instead of us. She threw it all away for them. She threw away sight. She must really like them."Hayden kicked a wall. "What the heck is wrong with me?" she asked. "Why did I even agree to do that in the first place?"
Beven put a finger to her lips and motioned for Jade to follow Hayden, pointing her in the right direction. Beven was going to find out what she could about this guy
Hayden's dad sat on the bench his daughter had just left. "Mmhmmm, stepped right on my broken toes. She has some uncanny ability there."Hayden kicked the wall again. "I'm so messed up."
Mr. Kennedy nodded. "Mmmhmm... the girl totally lost it. You'd think she had more respect for her own father! Don't worry, boss. We'll get to her."Hayden slid down the wall, her head in her hands, and let her tears fall. She didn't care if anyone saw. She'd admit it and let her punishment come. She didn't want to hurt anyone.
Her dad! What, why wouldnt Hayden tell her this. She maybe was a traitor... Bevens knees collapsed from under her and she slid down the wall
Hayden whimpered into her hands. "I'm an idiot. A stupid idiot. I need to fix this." she stood up, running back to her father. Mr. Kennedy looked up from his phone. "Ah, Elena, good to see you again. Yes, boss, I'll be right back."
"My name is not Elena." she said harshly through gritted teeth. "I want you to get the heck out of my life and never come back, you hear me? Never!" she stomped on his feet again, knowing that his toes were broken somehow. "I don't want to help you, even if turning in my flock meant seeing again. You hear me, sight isn't worth it! You can't force me to do anything!"
Beven flattened herself against the wall as Hayden passed by her. Good thing she couldnt see her. What was going on? she wondered
Jade teleported back. She smiled. Then she silently zipped down Mr. Kennedy's pants to have some fun. She grabbed and ice cream and smashed it on his head. All anyone saw was things floating.
Hayden bit her lip. "Jade." she said slowly. "I don't recommend that. Run."Mr. Kennedy frowned. "What was that?" he asked.
"That was called self defense. Leave me alone!" she cried, stomping on his feet again.
"No," Beven muttered, Jade shouldnt do that. She could get caught, and they may not be able to find out as much information as she could have before...
Mr. Kennedy frowned. "I shall leave you alone, Elena. But don't expect to ever see anything again." he said, shoved his phone in his pocket, and went back to his car. "My name is Hayden, not Elena!" Hayden called.
"Hayden was the name your mother chose. I will never call you that!" Mr. Kennedy retorted, driving away.
Hayden sat on the ground, her mouth open in shock. She couldn't say anything. She couldn't even bring herself to cry. "What is wrong with me?" she finally managed to ask.
When they landed, where ever that was. Beven said, "No, take me back!" she needed to know what was going on. Hayden couldnt be a traitor...
Hayden sat on the ground, her mouth wide open in shock. "I just lost my only chance. They'd better be grateful..." she said, referring to her lost sight and the flock. "I could never turn them in. I'm not that bad, am I?"
Hayden closed her eyes. "I'm not a traitor. I never wanted to hurt them. I never wanted to I never wanted to I never wanted to I never wanted to I never wanted to I never wanted to I never wanted to I never wanted to."
Hayden bit her lip. "I didn't want to hurt you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry." she whispered to herself. "I'm not a traitor."
Beven wanted to believe her, but she was too shocked. She stayed hidden with Jade in the shadows, invisable
Hayden sighed, shook her head, and closed her eyes. "I will never turn my back on my family. Screw my dad, I'm not turning my back on my family." she whispered.
Beven let go of Jade's hand, becoming visable. She didnt know if Haydens dad was still there, but at this point, she was hurt, and pissed and could take on a rain of Erasers
((being visible will do her no good...))Hayden wiped her eyes. "What do you want, to chew me out and tell me I'm a traitor? I'll take it, because it's true. I am a traitor. But I was going to tell you the next time things died down."
((ya, i know.))Beven fought back a snort, "Sure you were." she couldnt help but feel sorry for Hayden, even though she was working with her dad, who was associated with the school in some way
Hayden shook her head. "You can chew me out all you want. It's true. I won't deny the truth. But put yourself in my shoes. If you were a naive teenage girl who wanted nothing more than to see, and it was offered to you on a silver platter with no consequences, wouldn't you take it?" Hayden shook her head. "As soon as I agreed, they told me the rest. Remember that first time I had a nightmare? That was about the conversation we had." She bit her lip. "As soon as they told me that I'd have to return you to the school, I was against the plan. But they wouldn't let me back out. So shoot a girl for trying. At least then we'll know the shooter's the one doing it wrong, not the dead girl."
Beven walked over to Hayden and sat on her knees in front of her, "But try comming from my side. I trust you, you promised me you wouldnt leave me. You were the first person I trusted since leaving the school. Imagine the betrayal I feel, you could have told me. It would be better than finding out like this." she said soflty
"I was going to tell you!" Hayden insisted. "I was going to as soon as you woke up. But then all this happened and--iyiyi. Stupid dad." Hayden shook her head. "I understand you're betrayed. I wanted to stop as soon as I really knew what was happening. It's not easy when they've got your sight in one hand on a silver platter and your death and happiness in another." Hayden shook her head. "Chew me out all you want. I'm not going to deny it."
Chewing Hayden out wasnt going to solve their problems. "No, Im not going to do that. If your dad is mad at you and wants you to do things for him, even if you dont want to, he will probley send Erasers like he threatened to do earlier. We need to leave." she said simply
Hayden sighed. "He won't do that. He doesn't work for the school." she shook her head. "He works for the government. I wasn't lying when I said he was a supreme court justice. He's got nothing up on him, except for the thought that he might be able to make me see again and be the daughter he always wanted to have."
Beven wasnt sure if she should trust her, but something inside her was telling her to believe her. "Alright," she said soflty
