Hayden kept her hearing tuned on her surroundings, not missing any footsteps coming toward them, anyone's breathing, or anything else. She practiced her echolocation, and she was getting pretty good at it. She could almost visualize her surroundings without help.
After a few hours, Beven bolted awake, not realizing she had fallen asleep. She opened her eyes, widely alert, it was instinct
Hayden heard the change in Beven's breathing. "Nothing's coming." she said reassuringly. "We're safe here." she promised.
Jade knocked the guy out and she then set a beer bottle in his hand. To make it look like he was drunk. She kept walking.
(( Thanks!))Jade stopped by a store and she turned invisible. She walked inside snagging things. Medicine, food. She headed out and walked in another store to get clothes. And then another to get phones for the flock. Then a store to get blankets, sleeping bags, stuff like that.
Hayden smiled, softly, rubbing her head gingerly. It still hurt, but she was ignoring it. Well, as best as she could anyway.
"Yep. lets pitch up a tent and have a camp out. I have a busload of food to. And matches." JAde said.
"Cool." Hayden commented, feeling horrible about her father. She'd think about it. She'd find a way to get out of it.
((haha :) ))"Umm, sure." Beven said nervously, trying to hid it. She put down the tent making stuff and walked over to Kevin
Hayden could hear their conversation without even trying. Her ears didn't have to strain. They were that good, since they had to compensate for her lack of sight.
Jade sighed when a question popped into her head. "Hey Kevin! I thought SNow was your second in command!" she called.
"First, you should know she's blind and her talents revolve around her enhanced senses. Such as echolocation and she can hear extremely well." Beven said
((....))Hayden raised her eyebrows. "If you wanna hide a conversation from me, you can't talk that loudly!" she shouted. She didn't mention her almost nonexistent powers. So what if she saw her surroundings in her head? So what if she got sick every time she did it? So what if she was a better blind fighter than most sighted people?
Beven raised her eyebrows at Kevin, proving her point with Hayden having enhanced hearing. She knew that Hayden could hear the could hear what they said, and she deserved to know...
Hayden laughed. "I can hear the footsteps two blocks away, the conversations four blocks. I don't think you can really hide your talk from me." she said.
"I can see things in my head when I focus. So right now, I see everything around me, but my eyes are closed. I can use echolocation, and soon It'll probably be better than most bats'... I can fight blind better than most sighted people... and I think I'm developing some sort of other thing... Why?" Hayden asked. "Most of those are things I've picked up not powers..."
"Uh... I can see you but I'm blind? I live through dying every day? Uh... I don't really have powers, but they're not here yet... most of this is enhanced senses. My powers haven't developed yet." Hayden said softly, rubbing her hands on her jeans.
Beven told Kevin, "There is someone else you will want to meet to. Her name is Isabel."((Gabby isnt on right now and thats her charrie, also a new member of Maximum Shadow))
"I see..." Hayden trailed off, hearing footsteps. "Oh, what do you want?" she grumbled so only she could hear it. "I'm going to explore. Be back in a few."
Beven nodded, she felt wrong following Hayden, but did it anyway. Not because Kevin told her to, but because Hayden was acting weird lately and kept going off by herself. She crept after Hayden
Hayden walked down the alley, knowing her father was waiting for her. She didn't know what he wanted, but she knew he was there. His breathing was unique... she didn't stop when she got to him, though, in case someone was following her.
