Hayden sighed, her eyes closed tightly. "What was that?" she asked, slightly panicked. A loud boom had just sounded, and she didn't know what to think.
Isabel tilted her head to the side and padded toward the thing lying in a heap on the ground. She kicked at it hard to make sure that it wouldn't spring back to life or something but she was pretty sure that it was never going to move again based on its appearance.
Hayden really did leap this time, a small whimper escaping her lips as her head jostled. "What is that???" she asked loudly, not knowing what was going on.
((nothing really.))Hayden nodded, her hand on her forehead. She sat down with a heavy sigh and rested her head in the ground, stretching out so she was lying on her side. She felt horrible.
((isabel was just kicking around what you killed:) but Hayden got scared cause she couldn't see what my kicking noises were. I just clarified what it was))
((Ok, thanks))Beven picked up a piece of the machine and threw it into the pond, so if someone came long, they couldnt try to put it back together
When everyone wasn't looking, Isabel got some of the oil on her finger and she drew a circle around the pile of machinery. In a matter of milliseconds it turned into a pit and the junk fell into it. She quickly rubbed the oil away with her shoe and the hole disappeared like the thing did just seconds before.
Snow smiled "Beven am I second in command?"
Hayden turn her head to Beven's voice. "What now?" she groaned, wishing it would be silent for a few minutes.
Snow put ear muffs over Hyden ears
Hayden jumped. "What are these?" she asked loudly, feeling something covering her ears. Her ears were her only useful sense, she didn't want to lose her hearing unexpectedly. But she figured it was something over her ears to help with the noise. Hopefully.
Hayden relaxed a little. "Thanks." she mumbled, her headache fading slightly now that there wasn't so much noise around her.
Hayden shivered, curling onto her side. She didn't want to draw any attention, but she felt awful. She hated fights.
((The machine was killed and sucked into a hole))Beven went to Hayden's side and put an arm around her shoulder to help her walk
Hayden jumped when someone put an arm around her. She tensed, but sensed it was probably Beven, since no one else would do that.
"Relax, its just me." Beven whispered, she turned to everyone else, "Anyone have any ideas where to go?"
Hayden relaxed, uncovering her ears and removing the earmuffs. She didn't want to admit she felt horrible, since she was already weak in everyone else's eyes, but she did. It was always fights. Why couldn't the Erasers just leave them alone?
Beven rubbed Haydens shoulder, letting her know that she was there for her. Beven looked around, they seemed to be in some sort of forest
Snow hugged Hayden "Were safe for now"
"We are in a forest, big trees, lots of cover. There is a little pond behind us...." Beven went on describing their surroundings
"Isabel?" Beven said, hoping that she got her name right, "Do you know this area? Or have any suggestions where to go?"
Isabel straightened up after being addressed and said, "I don't know this area but if we fly up, we might be able to see where we are."
"Ok," Beven said and took flight immedietly. From up here she saw a small town that looked like it was a few miles away. It wasnt the town they just came from, that was in the other direction. "Over there," she said and pointed to the town, "We could head there, find out where we are and where we should go next."
Isabel waited until everyone took off to look at the spot where she had drawn the hole. It was gone now but she still wanted to make sure. She rubbed her shoe on the ground to get rid of the remnants of oil. Then she spread her golden wings and took off after Beven and the flock.
Beven looks down at Isabel and when she flies up she asks, "What were you doing?" Isabel was hiding something, Beven could tell
Isabel was a master at poker face and stretching the truth. She looked up at Beven and smirked "Making sure that nothing was left to come after us."
Beven nodded, not competely believing her, but went along with it. It seemed logical, it would be what Beven would do. "Ok, theres a town over ther," she pointed over at it and continud, "We can head there and find out where we are and where we want to go."
Beven flew towards the town, making sure the others were following. She went at a slower pace so Hayden could keep up without struggeling. Becides, they werent in that big of a hurry
Hayden sighed softly, flying beside Beven. She hadn't answered Beven's question: whether or not she was all right, because if she had, she would have broken down as usual. Best to be stoic and save it for later.
"Theres a town over this way. We are going to find out where exactly we are and where we should go." Beven expained to Hayden
