I am a fast reader but I am hindered by a J O B. LOL. The good thing is the date we've chose is the night I start my weekend with out my kids leaving me much more time to read. I've never done a buddy read, so i'm not sure if ppl like to discuss after a certain number of chapters or what.

Any feedback on that would be great, then maybe we can set a reasonable schedule. I'm off to put the book on hold at my library!

Um, I'm a big fan of reading 5 chapters and then coming back to discuss it.

we can see how many pages 5 chapters is and see how many of those we want to do

but we can really set it up any way you guys want! I'm pretty open and I'm a fast reader too, so you guys pick the speed! But, really, since we're starting in May
we can check in on the 2nd (day before) and see how everyone'e schedule is for the 3rd and set speed then...

okay, no problem

so it looks like there are 34 chapters and about 230 pages.

so...how fast do you read, Becky?
Should we come back every 5 chapters?
Every 10?

and we can touch base, see how we are liking the book - if we have any opinions or ideas where the story is going...etc.

How about every 5 to start and see from there. Just FYI i work during the day. I'm a pretty quick reader (not as quick as you tho, lol), but i'll be hindered by work for a bit. Depending on my assignment i can read while i'm here but i won't know what i'm working on til i get here tomorrow, lol. Clear as mud???

Anyway, start with 5, and if not enough is happening we can stretch it to 10. :-)

5 chapters and check back. I am really interested in whtat you guys think. I don't want to ruin the first 5 chapters for anyone so I'm gonna put a spoiler in for now and i'll remove it when we're all past this point, lol.

(view spoiler)[ So far i think the story is good but the writing is HORRIBLE. I keep laughing at the cheesy-ness of it. I feel like a middle schooler wrote it. It has GREAT potential tho, so don't worry, i'm keeping on with it. LOL. I am intersted to see how the whole wolf thing fits together. I just wish the dialoge was better! Super hot guy with tattoos? I read the first five, the only thing I didn't like was the grammar problems (I'm big on being grammatically accurate). Otherwise I enjoyed it.

I agree Chelsea! I find that a LOT with e-book especially it seems. But I almost almost done with chapter 10 and it has improved a bit for me... I hope that trend continues. As I said I like the story line, its the writing that's bugging me, lol.

I havn't read past chapter 5 yet - I'm at an AP study session, and I'm dying to go home to finish the book. Lol. I wouldn't say it's exceptional because like you said Becky the writing is pretty cheesy.

Oh AP Study sessions are important - esp this time of year! lol! I agree, but the story is a good one and it is getting "exciting" now, lmao. Hopefully you'll feel the same. I'll be reading at my daughters game tonight, so i'll keep updating as I get moving on!

I am just starting chapter 12. They story is picking up and i'm learing to read past the cheesy writing and beginning to enjoy it.

(view spoiler)[ I should have seen it coming that there would be another wolf pack in the same small city. After all what kind of wolf story would it be without wolf conflict? That is when i began to get interested. Not sure how I'm going to like how Fane is treating Jaq relationship wise, but it will be fun to see them hitting heads I think. The tattoo marks are a nice twist as well. I enjoyed that part of House of Night at first too. Also I am intersted to see what is up with Jaq's mother. Is she a wolf too? Definitely SOMETHING is up there for sure. (hide spoiler)]

My test is next Fri, so I'm getting in as much studying as , but it's killing my reading time. Though I'm reading in between breaks. And I have seen fewer errors, so I'm happy about that, but I still think its slow.

Ok girls, I'm on Chapter 30. The writing is still a bit lacking but the plot has more than made up for it. I would like to see the enemy in a bit more depth tho, maybe a chapter from his POV? Yup, I'm trying to decide if I want to spend $2.99 on the kindle edition of Blood Rights or get it free from the Library. But seriously, can these ppl NOT edit their work??? LOL. The story was enjoyable enough (although I can't wait to dissect it with all of you!) that I want to find out what happens!

Perhaps I have found my new calling as an editor but I'd get stuck with non-fiction and pattern books...

I just made it to Chapter 21, and that's where I,am stopping for the night - but it's so hard. It's getting really good. It started off slow, but I'm glad it's past the slowness.
