Has anyone checked out this show?

Dead Set is a five-part horror thriller created by English comic writer Charlie Brooker. The series is set in the Big Brother house, and was first aired on E4 on 27 October 2008. The five episodes, aired over five consecutive nights, chronicle a zombie outbreak that strands the housemates and production staff inside the House, which quickly becomes a shelter from the undead.

Raf (thecowsaysmoo) Well, the only complaint I got is that it is too short :). The characters are very believable, as are their actions.

Jill (wanderingrogue) | 10 comments I haven't seen it, but it looks fantastic. :)

Robert | 18 comments I've been waiting for this to show up in the U.S. netflix, amazon something.... Anyone know where it can be found?

message 6: by Robert (new)

Robert | 18 comments Thank you. At one time I considered trying to order it from Amazon UK but I'd have to convert the region for one of my dvd players and you can only do that a certain number of times before it locks itself.

Robert | 18 comments As far as ordering from Amazon UK I don't know, I've never tried to order anything. I set up an account though and I don't see why it shouldn't work as long as they're willing to ship overseas. You can change the region settings on dvd players but you can only switch regions a certain number of times before it locks (about 4 or 5 times I think).

Robert | 18 comments You can get a little cheap dvd player and just use that one to play discs from a different region. If the people that made dead set do a sequel I hope they have the zombies eat the people from american idol next....

Robert | 18 comments The only plane/zombie movie combination I know of is "Flight of the living dead" They're "28 days later" zombies though not resurrected dead zombies.

message 10: by Robert (new)

Robert | 18 comments Oh yes, flight of the living dead was really bad... the only reason I finished it was because I was laughing so much. I didn't have a problem with the way 28 days later or 28 weeks later was shot but I am one of those people that doesn't really consider the infected "zombies". It wasn't really because they could run but because they were technically still alive. Zombies don't eventually starve to death.

Angie I really want this on DVD too! Sad we can't get it in the US!

Doug Lewis (dalewis0011) | 11 comments yeah ..this would sell in the US. whats up!?!?

message 13: by Doug (new)

Doug Lewis (dalewis0011) | 11 comments On amazon UK it said the DVD was ALL REGION ... it cost me $20 USD ... so we'll get an answer to if it works or not in 6-10 business days.

Doug Lewis (dalewis0011) | 11 comments Just got this in today! It IS IN FACT a region 0 DVD and plays perfectly fine in my region 1 DVD player.

It has a good little number of featurettes on it, too. Maybe a dozen or so little shorts that include special FX stuff and interviews with different cast members and the writer.

also about a half dozen deleted scenes - but those are pretty pointless ... but thats the nature of deleted scenes.

So there you have it - if you're in america and have an extra $20, go here

Doug Lewis (dalewis0011) | 11 comments yeah ... i wasnt familiar with anyone at all in it - i actually only loosely knew what big brother was (for example, i didn't know that it had a live feed, or that there were "evictions" and that those were live") But even with the lack of expository elements to explain such things, i caught on pretty quickly to what was going on and that some people were real-life famous.

i had watched it before - but i had to download it and burn it to a DVD. So i just bought the DVD to have an actual copy of it.
