Leon RE Anyone notice any weird coincidences or hidden meanings through the series?

For instance, I noticed that in Prisoner of Azkaban, during his Divination exam, Harry bluffs and says that he sees a hippogriff flying away in the crystal ball. And the funny part is, Buckbeak did escape and fly away, rather than getting beheaded.

Casey I did not notice this but I read that someone noticed that in the first book Dumbledore mentions that scars are special and that he has one that is the perfect map of underground London. And what is underground London? Gringotts!

Halle "Is that a freckle or a land mark? I forget."

Halle In PoA, Ron tells Harry he'll suffer, but he'll be happy about it. When Harry sacrifices himself to Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest, it's safe to say he suffered. But he was happy about it. He got to see loved ones whom died and protect the living. So Ron actually made an accurate prediction.

Rosen Trevithick I hadn't noticed that! Clever!

Halle So there may actually be something behind Divination. Possibly.

I think he meant the London Underground. You know, the Tube.

Yeah, but I guess one could translate it to mean Gringotts as that is more relevant to wizards. On the other hand, it was probably just meant to be taken as the conventional meaning.

Either way, that must be a really big scar to be a map of the tube / Gringotts. I have a suspicion Dumbledore was joking but you never know.

Andrea Escaffi In book number 6, The Half-Blood Prince, Rowling writes that Harry has a look of revulsion and anger on his face when he force feels Dumbledore the water from the cave when trying to get the locket(under Dumbledore's strict orders.
A few chapter later, while in the tower, Snape has the same exact description written on his face right before he kills Dumbledore(except in reverse order). It is described by Rowling right after Dumbledore says, "Severus, please".
Though I had strongly suspected Dumbldore ahd set up a plan with Snape to kill him, when I read this last part...I knew it. I also knew Snape was good for sure after this. Rowling gave away so much with this last minute description. Harry and Snape were both forced to do something they didn't want to do.

I just checked my copy and the boggart goes through; Ron, Bill, Mr Weasley, the Twins (it just says dead twins so I assume both bodies appeared), Percy, and finally Harry. So the boggart ends with Harry. Possibly something...for some reason I thought it ended on one of the twins but nope!

But you are right, one of the twins did die (miss him so much) and Harry did die but he came back. Mr. Weasley was close to death, so yeah, she did almost lose loads of family in the book. So you are right, in my opinion.

Eh good point! ;)

I believe Harry tells Ron this.

Merve Well, don't know if it counts but there are many references to Nazi time, like the initials fof Salazar Slytherin --> SS. Or the whole fuss about pure blood, half lood or mud blood reminded me of the elimination of non - Arians. I guess there are more references to that time, but I noticed especially those.

BookGirl Ron's patronus was a Jack Russell terrier and Hermione's was an otter. Jack russells are known for chasing otters.

Harry's patronus was a stag and Ron's patronus was a dog.
Just like James's patronus was a stag and Sirius's patronus was a dog.
