26.

I've decided I'm turning 26 next year too, and the year after that and every other year after that! ;-P

I lost count and was twenty six for two consecutive years, I never actually was 27.

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments My hubby did that Jim, he was devastated when I told him he was 29 and not 28, this was a couple of months before his 30th birthday.

Your slightly older than I am then DD :o)

You have the power to 'delete' so I'm guessing no one will argue with you! ;-P

David Haynes | 844 comments Did anyone see the old gal on the news who told everyone she was 95 on her birthday? She got a telegram from the Queen congraulating her on being 100. Bless her she'd knocked five years off and no-one called her on it except ER.

LOL

My mother always used to say "I'm as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth"

Derek | 2 comments Hi all, I'm late to the debate. I'd say an 11 year-old can be published if s/he is good enough, but using their own name may attract the wrong sort of attention at school.

On that basis, I've been 26 for... um... 26 years.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments I'm just 26 and a few months...about 250 or so!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm 27 - give or take a couple of decades.

Grampy (goodreadscomgrampy) Back to the topic, I'd say that decision is entirely up to the 11 year old and her legal guardian(s). But I agree with Derek (comment 61), he/she could be unnecessarily asking for trouble at school, particularly if the book is at all controversial, or discusses a situation or circumstance widely known at the school, but would anger some if made public.

And I refuse to give my age!

Sorry to butt in, but I was very surprised at the number 26 popping up. My brain has been telling me I am 26 since I was probably 24- completely missed 24, 25 and actually been 26. I even cried at my wedding because I thought the vicar had put down the wrong age for me!
Even now I have to really think how old I actually am.
How odd that others think 26 is a great age too!
