He laughed. "Same. I rarely played cards, more like poker but we don't have that here."
she nodded "here." she said handing him the cards "shuffle them."

"it's really easy." she said "you have cards in your hand and you ask me for the same card that you have to get a match. who ever has the most matches wins." she said smiling
"Aha," he nodded at that. "Okay," he said with a smile. He grabbed a chair and sat down in front of the bars.

He nodded. "Hmmm.. 8 of hearts?"
He pouted more. "Shit," he muttered, giving it to her.
she smiled and took it from him and set down her match "so how long have you been a cop? " she asked
He sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "One year now," he told her. "It's still hard."
"why is it hard? " she asked "don't you just drive your cop car around town while eating donuts and coffee? "
He laughed at that. "That's what everybody thinks.. no I actually solve crime."

He didn't like her grin. He clenched his jaw. "On my sister."

"She got killed... in a robbery," he said softly.
