I actually think all three are exceptionally written. I think how fresh and intense The Hunger Games feels when you read it, and the intricacy of establishing the world of Panem, all the characters (especially the leads), and the plotting make it the best. But only by a smidge, because there is something perfect about how Suzanne Collins upped the action in the Arena for Catching Fire--so sadistic and yet cool at the same time--while also introducing new characters who became beloved and keeping the overall plot of bringing down the Capitol moving ahead. Mockingjay wraps everything up well and manages quite a few plot surprises, which is no small feat in a trilogy.
i loved them all but i think i liked catching fire the best... but then again mockingjay was soo intense and i couldnt put it down so idk i dont think i have a favorite :/
Of all 3 i think Catching Fire kept my interest the most. I think it was because I was used to the new world and was ready to expect the unexpected. The Hunger Games was sad, crazy, surprising, and totally awesome, but it just prepared me for the even better awesomeness from the second book. Lol sorry I sound so immature. But anyway Mockingjay was just action, shock, and more action which I loved. In all, every book was great. I just prefer Catching Fire out of them.
