If I post the list of participants for Cade Blue now and someone else says they will play can they be added? I know goals can be changed up until 5/8. At this point it's been talked about for over a week now and so I'd think all our players who are interested in playing would have posted by now. But we have some recently added players who have never posted on any of the team threads. I sent PMs out to them last night but I don't know how active they are on goodreads.
Yes, members can choose to participate till the 8th - I'm going to register everybody's current pages to account for that later participation.
I was just coming on to say I had gone back found that in the rules. I just PM our mini-challenge idea to Sonia. Going to try and post our team participants & theme now unless work calls me away from it (right now I'm alone in the office).
If a Team Member is out on PLOA, they will NOT be counted in your Team's total participation for extra points.
If in doubt of their status, check the Google Spreadsheet Team Assignment.

I'm still totally confused about this mini-challenge thing. I thought the mini-challenges we were PMing to Sonia were only given points if they were chosen to be used during the read-a-thon. But now I see that teams are getting points for turning them in now. Sorry I seem to have some sort of mental block with understanding this.
This is what I understood:
Each team picks a theme and they get points based on how many of the read-a-thon participants on their team read a book for the theme.
Each team gets points based on how many of their read-a-thon participants read a book with a cover the color of their team.
If a team submits a mini-challenge idea that's chosen by the mods to use then that team gets bonus points and all the teams can do that challenge to earn bonus points.
Where am I mistaken?
Here's the starting info for Team Cadet Blue: Participants:
Mary Dresden: 1200 pgs
Teresa: 1200 pgs
Lisa Kay: 1000 pgs
Jex: 600 pgs
Sonia: 600 pgs
Sarah: 1000 pgs
Theme: "Books in Uniform", which will be where we read at least ONE book (if you want, for team points) that has anything to do with uniforms -- on the cover, a character with a specific type of job that "wears" a uniform (which I have a list of somewhere in this thread).
Uniform Ideas:

I only have Kayla out on PLOA, as of earlier this morning (maybe after you checked?), Steven.
I'm going to leave her there, if it is alright with you, until I hear from her, Karla (her sister), or you about her possible goal... Or if she posts a book. (Notice that she still has a "light green box" in the column after her "view books" - which means zero books.)

I could have sworn when I looked at it before lunch, they both were marked that way. Must be going nutso!Still no responses from Shiela or Alba. Dunno what's going on with them, but they've both been at least 9 days without anything in the Mango Tango forums or posting a book.
LOL! That's alright, Steven. It was that way when I first woke up; but I changed it.
Yes, it gets a little nerve racking when there is a R-a-T about to start. But, not everyone is ascrazy intense as others are about GRs. Geez. It seems like Alba just joined...

No "blame," sweet Sonia. Just first marathon jitters for everyone, me included! Or maybe most of all! ☺

Hey Sarah! I wouldn't be able to change your goal since I'm not one of your team captains(unless I missed something).
You are on the Cadet Blue team, right? I think one of your team captains is around here somewhere...
@Sarah: Sure, we can change your goal to 1200. Don't forget to claim a page-count post over on our Cadet Blue RaT thread on our sister group. HERE It's a post that you'll use to keep track of your pages read and you can update it as you go.Sonia -- Sarah is on Cadet Blue and her new goal is 1200.

OK I'm back.15 hours till the Read-a-Thon!!!
*does the hula dance*
I'll be doing some nice spreadsheet and post the participants goals before going to bed so you all have time to see if everything is correct, and if not I'll fix it in the morning.
*whispers*
just don't ask me what the time is, besides I'm too excited to sleep
*grins*

Yes, big and many thanks to Sonia for all of her hard work on this challenge! And to the mods for whatever magic they are working that we might be unaware of!

Awwwwww thanks Oh mighty team captain!
*Sonia grabs a glass and goes back to computer*
Only one team left and a quick check!!!!
Hey, Sonia -- when you utilize the mini challenges that were submitted, will you be sharing the names of the teams that submitted them?
ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) wrote: "Hey, Sonia -- when you utilize the mini challenges that were submitted, will you be sharing the names of the teams that submitted them?"I don't know yet... I'll be working on putting the mini-challenges together tomorrow, so I'll probably figure it out by then :o)
Regarding the mini challenges, I know you are figuring it all out but is there going to be a time limit to post?

The Read-a-Thon Spreadsheet is ready!!!
If some data isn't right, just say so and I'll correct it while you sleep :o)
Rebecca wrote: "Regarding the mini challenges, I know you are figuring it all out but is there going to be a time limit to post?"Sorry Rebecca, I didn't understand what are you asking - is a bit late :(
Sorry Sonia - I'm a litte tired myself. I was wondering if for the mini challenges you were going to say for the next 24 hours complete this mini-challenge.Does that make sense?
Sonia wrote: "ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) wrote: "Hey, Sonia -- when you utilize the mini challenges that were submitted, will you be sharing the names of the teams that submitted them?"I don't know yet... I'll b..."
Okay. I just thought it'd be fun to find out which team came up with which one.
Yes it does. Each mini-challenge will have a number, and will be valid from the moment posted, till the end of the Read-a-Thon. You just have to refer to which one your book/answer is when posting it.
I'll know more after catching some ZZ's :o)
ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) wrote: "Sonia wrote: "ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) wrote: "Hey, Sonia -- when you utilize the mini challenges that were submitted, will you be sharing the names of the teams that submitted them?"I don't know..."
LOL
It could be a mini-challenge too :P
OK, brain is starting to have crazy ideas so better to step away from the computer! :o)just a last reminder!!
* In case your team hasn't done it yet you have 12 hours to submit your team's mini-challenge idea
* Please do not mark your read books as read in the 2 hours before the Read-a-Thon start - that means you still have 10 hours left to mark all your read books as read.
