Okay, so start Plain Fame on the 12th? I could do that. Then maybe we could start The Bargain on the 28th?

message 102: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments I might join in on The Bargain if you will keep the thread up for a little while after the start date before taking it down.

I don't think that would be a problem. It might take a while for us to finish it anyway. :)

That sounds like a plan.

Lorie, how quickly do you think we'll be reading Plain Fame? I can still start on Wednesday, but my progress will be slow. I have to work this weekend and I have a super hard test to study for next Tuesday.

Any extra prayers sent my way for the test would be awesome, too! It's a programming class and no matter how hard I study, I just don't seem to get it. >.<

I am just about finished with my book and then I will start Plain Fame sometime today. just do what you can. Thanks.

Brittany: I will remember you in my prayers. I, too, found programming very difficult and decided that computer operation was more my thing. Although now, with the advent of Windows, networking, and the Internet, I'm not so sure computer operation is all that easy either. It's great when it works, but if it doesn't . . . ??

The Wounded Heart (Amish Quilt, #1) by Adina Senft An Uncommon Grace A Novel by Serena B. Miller Rebecca's Rose (Forever After in Apple Lake #2) by Jennifer Beckstrand The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club (The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club #1) by Wanda E. Brunstetter Inescapable (Road to Kingdom #1) by Nancy Mehl

message 119: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) Brittany, I have An Uncommon Grace: A Novel and Inescapable on my Kindle if you'd like to read either of them in May?

message 120: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
That sounds good to me, Rachel! I'm going into the last month of the spring semester (of grad school, no less) so I'll have quite a bit on my plate this month, but by May things should have settled down.

I'd be up for reading either of them. Do you have a preference? I really need to read Inescapable at some point, since I won the third one a while back and need to leave a review. ^.^''

message 121: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) I don't have a preference, so I'm happy to read Inescapable if you're eager to read that one!

message 122: by Diane U (new)

Diane U (djuseless) Brittany and Rachel - Would you mind if I joined you in May to read Inescapable?

message 123: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) Not at all! The more the merrier :)

Well, May is quickly approaching! When would it be most convenient for you guys to read Inescapable? The second week in May (or maybe even toward the middle of the month) would be best for me. My exams end on the 7th.

message 128: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments @Brittany: I can read it any time because my exam should be done by this Thursday at the latest.

message 129: by Rachel (last edited Apr 29, 2014 06:25AM) (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) The middle of May sounds good, Brittany!

This will be my first May without exams since 2005. It feels really weird!

message 133: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) I can try to aim for the 12th :) Hope your exams are going well!

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments Would anyone like to join me in reading The Amish Groom (The Men of Lancaster County, #1) by Mindy Starns Clark , The Amish Blacksmith (The Men of Lancaster County, #2) by Mindy Starns Clark , Child of Mine by David Lewis , Crossroads (Amish Roads #2) by Barbara Cameron , and The Amish Nanny by Patricia Davids sometime in the middle of August ir the begging of September? I'm flexible, but I would prefer reading The Amish Groom (The Men of Lancaster County, #1) by Mindy Starns Clark sooner rather than later.

message 138: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments @Brittany: I should be able to start next Monday, and if I speed-read I might even finish that day.

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments Would any of you like to read and discuss Huckleberry Summer (The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill, #2) by Jennifer Beckstrand by Jennifer Beckstrand with me sometime in early to mid July? I know you may not be able to plan this far ahead for everything that might come up, but I thought I'd offer anyways since July is only a little over two months away. Wold you be willing to discuss the The Amish Blacksmith (The Men of Lancaster County, #2) by Mindy Starns Clark and The Amish Nanny by Patricia Davids in the middle of October just so the first one can be avaialble on Kindle.

message 140: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments Is anyone up for discussing An Amish Second Christmas by Beth Wiseman , An Amish Christmas Quilt by Charlotte Hubbard , and Huckleberry Christmas (The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill #3) by Jennifer Beckstrand sometime in the middle of November or early December since none of them are out until sometime in October?

message 142: by Rachel (new)

message 143: by Brittany (new)

Awesome! I'm reading contemporary a YA right now, so I'd be able to start a Inescapable whenever anyone else wants to - it should be pretty easy to keep the books separate in my mind, lol.

message 144: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments @Brittany: I am ready to discuss Inescapable (Road to Kingdom #1) by Nancy Mehl sometime this weekend. I know you're having health issues some kind that have interfered with you post the thread on time.

message 145: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) Since I started this book last night (it's a quick read, I'm already 16% in!) I thought I'd go ahead and start the thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments @Brittany:Sign me up for Unbreakable (Road to Kingdom, #2) by Nancy Mehl . I justr need to download it when I have more Amazon money soon.

message 150: by Carolyn E (new)

Carolyn E | 239 comments I just finished reading all three books in Nancy Mehl's "Road to Kingdom" series, and I enjoyed them, although I had to keep reminding myself that these people were Mennonite, not Amish. I thought the third book was the best one of the three.
