Dragonflight I'm wondering if I'm the only one that is more than struggling to get through the audiobook version of this? I have no doubt that the book is good, but the reader makes Ben Stein sound overly emotional. Everytime I try to listen to this book I about fall asleep, and given that I listen while driving, that's not a good thing. Anyone else struggling like this?

No, I feel the same. I think I'm just going to Lem. I don't like the narrator and don't care about the characters. I made it to disc 4.
I got 40 minutes into listening to it and just wasn't getting there. On a long drive too, which I thought would be perfect. But no. Couldn't do it.
I made it though the audiobook, but it was hard. I found it really hard to stay focused on what the narrator was saying. Although, I think he got better in the last third of the book.
FWIW, I did make it through the audiobook, but it was not my favorite voice actor. Ended up cranking the speed up to 1.5 & that helped churn through it. :)
I gave up. And since I've tried ebook too I guess it's not the issue of who's reading but the book itself. Just not my kind of read.
I also started with the audiobook and, after restarting twice and still not understanding what was going on, I switched to the printed book.Unfortunately, I was still hearing the narrator's voice in my head. Still had a hard time getting into the book.
Well, having come off listening to the audio book for Downbelow Station, I'll say that this one was a step up.Of course, I'm also calling Dragonflight my first Lem of a group book. So...
