I want to CLAIM my AUTHOR PAGE but CANT

HELP PLEASE

I want to join the Goodreads Author Program; I want to claim my author page (E. Alexander Scianna) via my member profile page (E. Alexander Scianna), but it tells me there's an error. I don't understand why it says that my “first name (E. Alexander) doesn't match”? It does match!* Can anyone please help me straighten this out?

*I had just recently changed my member name so that it does match my author name. Perhaps the name change hasn't fully registered yet?

You know what, I didn't even have to send the request. As soon as I manually uploaded my books to Goodreads today, it seems that the moderators recognized I was the same person and simply did the awesome thing of combining the pages for me. I really needed that, because lord knows I couldn't figure out how to do it by myself.
My advice is to be patient, because the moderators WILL figure it out eventually. After all, they want their site to run as smoothly as possible, and don't want unnecessary pages and other information to slow its speed I imagine. They seem really smart, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
(However, you should know that when they do merge the pages, you'll lose your biography and other info—like I did—so make sure it's saved to your computer!)
