Ok. This is going to be a bit scattered, so I apologize in advance.

I'm not sure of the year I read this but I believe it was sometime in the 80's, but it could have been earlier - certainly not later.

**Adult Content!**

There was a Nazi man who came to America. He might have then become a movie producer. I believe he also changed his name. He was an officer at a concentration camp during the Nazi regime and would have sex with some of the Jewish girls there. Not full intercourse, though. One girl he had sex with didn't fight him, but she was very unresponsive. She simply laid on the bed with her hands at her sides. He rubbed himself on her hand and got off that way.

Another part there was a jewish man who was watching a film of the Nazi's and saw either himself in the film or the Nazi man I was just describing.

I'm sorry, but I really don't remember much more. Can anyone help?

Angharad | 98 comments Wikipedia has a list of lots of (possibly all) the Condensed Books published by Reader's Digest dating from 1950. Do you think you might recognize the title if you saw it?

stormhawk | 183 comments The content you describe is very un-Reader's Digest-like. Are you sure it was a condensed book from that era?

The more I think about it, stormhawk, the more I believe you are right. It must not have been a Reader's Digest book. Thanks.

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) Just on the off-chance that youre memory is lumping several things together, I will rattle off a bunch of movies (which have source novels) about neo-Nazis or Jews from WWII in various predicaments after the war. Maybe when you thought a character was watching a movie, he was simply re-living some of his memories.

'Marathon Man'
'The Night Porter' (highly sexual)
'The Pawnbroker' (also sexual)
'The Boys from Brazil'
'The Quiller Memorandum'
'The Stranger'

Thanks but no luck so far. The plot itself wasn't erotic, but that's what I remember. I wish I could remember more of it. *sigh*

Edit: I'll look into The Boys from Brazil.

CC | 6 comments Was the plot running backwards? That reminds me of parts of "Times Arrow" by Martin Amis.

No, the plot wasn't running backwards.
