She shook her head.

((idk what's next XD))

"You don't talk much do you?" he asked her.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

((just, go with it. :) ))

She shook her head, "I don't like people. They scare me. I scare myself sometimes."

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm a person. You don't like me?" he asked jokingly.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

She shrunk smaller and shook her head.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh c'mon, I'm just joking with you" he said and chuckled for awhile. They sat quietly sat there until his mom called from the dining room for dinner. "Let's go" he said to her and motioned her to the kitchen.

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

She followed behind him and sat at the table. She began to eat quietly.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

His mom started to talk "So, Monique, Geof told me you're taking the same Calculus class" Geof quietly poked his dinner.

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

She nodded, "I-I-It was required. I'm failing it like everything else."

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

?

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

((Soooorry, i didn't see it in the notifs))

"No, you're not" Geof said. "You always get straight As in calculus and you're not even trying hard" he said to her chuckling a bit.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

((its ok :) ))

"A's? I've stopped looking at my grades because they're all F's," she said.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well, Ms. Brooke always announces the scores before she returns it to us you know. And you and Kim are the only ones getting As" he said. His mother was delighted by this, "That's great Monique, you've got a talent for mathematics" she said smiling at her.

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

"Must be the only thing," she said.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

"At least you've got an A" Geof said, he wasn't good at school or sports like his brother was. "I'm always on the brink of failing" he added. "It's true" his mom said. "Thanks for the support mom" Geof replied. His mom laughed, "You know I love you, son" she told Geof. Not as much as you love Brent, he thought.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

She sighed, "Everything but calculus I'm failing. At least you have something." She picked at her plate, not really hungry.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

((i'm soooo sorry, been busy lately))

They ate there in silence.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

((its alright :) ))

She finished and went to her room and sat on the window sill, staring out into the night.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

In the dining room, Geof was helping his mom clear the table. His mom asked "What does she like? You know, something that would make her happy". "How should I know, I haven't had a conversation with her until this day" he answered. "Find that out for me honey" his mom said with a smile. "How?" he asked her. "I don't know, find a way" she retorted. He left his mom and knocked at Monique's room.

The door was open enough it opened at his touch. She continued to just stare out the window. She rested her head on the side, her forehead touching the window pane itself. She had a finger on the surface of it near the bottom,, but stayed quiet. She often did.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

The door was ajar and he peeked into the room. He thought she looked so calm yet hurt. He didn't want to disturb her, so he left and decided to ask her tomorrow. And he went inside his room and stared at the ceiling, wondering what would happened in the next days, months or even years. He fell asleep.

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

She felt asleep in the window around 10 pm.

Geof woke up and got ready for school. He went downstairs, to the kitchen and grabbed milk and a box of Chocolate cereal. In the dining room, he saw his mother sitting, sipping coffee and holding the paper in one hand. "So, did you find out yet?" she asked her. "No, she was slepping" he lied. And started eating his cereal.

Monique came down dressed in a sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and converse. She grabbed some fruity pebbles and milk and began eating. She pulled out a journal and began writing in it under the table.
