Cronache di Betelgeuse | 16 comments I have some doubts about the standard format for the field title: if a book is part of a serie I have to insert only the title or also "title (series name, #number)"?
If the series name is allowed in the title, and I have to add a translated edition for a book, which series name I have to add? The original one or the translated one?

We have discussed about this issue in the Goodreads Italia group, but we haven't find the right answer.
I hope that you can help us with this problem.

Thanks in advanced!

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments Adding (series, #x) to the title field is not required, though it is helpful when a user searches their My Books section, since series information doesn't otherwise show up there.

For translated editions, you can use the translated series name instead of the original one.

Thank you for your answer!

Just one small question: it is ok to add in the description field of a serie the translated name?
In this way the data inserted in the title will be coerent with the data present in the description of the serie.
