As far as 'real' adult contemporary with a bit of romance: I really liked On The Island by Graves, Harper and Callum, Fighting for Flight. I know this next title sounds (and looks) really erotic, but give it a chance because the witty dialogue and characters are worth it: Wallbanger by Alice Clayton (really anything by her is funny).
Find you in the dark was pretty good, mature YA but it deals with mental issues like After Hours. Oh and Edge Of Never & Playing for Patience were some of my favorites this year too.

Judy, thanks for the tip on The Tied Man. Just finished it. What an amazing book.

So glad you liked "The Tied Man." I think Finn and Lilith are now burned into my soul. I assume you know that Tabitha McGowan is writing "The Tied Man Unbound" right now (TTM2). It will deal with recovery, healing and some revenge. Can't wait.
Ariel: You might also like "New Life" written by Bonnie Dee (coauthor of Finding Home). A little different subject matter (a man with a brain injury from a car accident who can't emotionally really deal with the outside world much so he works as a janitor at nights.) Everyone thinks he is stupid, but he's far from it. It takes a lawyer working in the building he cleans to bring him out. I really enjoyed it.
Also, if you haven't read them already, there are a few more "steamy" short reads that some of you might like. Willing Victim (Cara McKenna), Blown (Braxton Cole and Thank you For Riding (Meg Maguire). They are novellas, easy reads, definitely include some steam but really well written and great stories.
