Are there any epic wars/battles?

Are there any epic wars/battles in the outlander series such as Game Of Thrones and Lord Of The Rings?I have only read the first book so that is why im asking.

Kind of. Battles are told mostly through flashback so you have to piece a lot of it together yourself. There are some battles later in the series, but I don't wanna discuss... spoilers :)

Spoilers, indeed. It's a historical fiction, so there are historical events that occur.

Battle of Culloden as well as a few other skirmishes in 1744/45 and so far, several American Revolutionary battles.
