Here is the blurb:
Love.
It can be the greatest force in the world.
But also the greatest torment.
Sometimes love can be one-sided.
And it can turn into obsession.
Anyone who has been in the grip of a hopeless, one-sided passion for another person will know just how overwhelming and painful the experience can be. And how impossible it is to live a 'normal' life when you cannot get that person out of your mind.
In 'Obsessive Love' Liz Hodgkinson, a former victim of obsessive love herself, explores this very common syndrome and looks at the hurt it can cause - hurt that, unless properly addressed and dealt with, can impact all aspects of your life and future relationships.
She offers detailed practical advice and understanding to all sufferers and suggests self-help techniques, therapies and counselling methods that will help you to access your feelings and free yourself of your preoccupation - conscious or unconscious - with a person you desperately want and cannot have.
'Obsessive Love' also includes valuable advice for everyone who is involved with an obsessive lover -- and who feels powerless to stop this unwanted relationship.
Liz Hodgkinson is a well-known medical journalist and author of several books, including 'Happy To Be Single' and 'The Alexander Technique'.
