I'm not sure if Dragonbreath will work? It has Middle Grade as genre and I know Graphic Novels and Children books with 100-300 pages are allowed but I'm not sure if some of the rules cancel each other out?

Can you please let me know your verdict, Ms Anderson?

From a moderator's point of view, there isn't any cancelling out of rules - it's >100 pages and fits the task requirements,so would be okay from the overall SRC rules perspective.

Thanks for clarifying, Sandy. I started reading the rules and got confused about whether it being both a graphic novel AND a children's book with pages 100-300 was a problem .:)

My only concern is for the first one, the font is bigger than usual, so maybe it's one of the "young reader" books that isn't allowed?

But it has RL 5.5 on the back, which isn't that young. And Walk Two Moons has RL5 but normal sized font.

Personally, I think as long as they meet the page count, Newbery books are fine. Especially given the age of the protagonist in Dear Mr. Henshaw (6th grader) and that it's on the shelf in both the classrooms I work in, I have no problem with it working for my task.
