I periodically go through the recently added quotes to see if any of them need editing (often users format authors' names incorrectly or don't attribute them to a book properly, etc.) and delete quotes that don't meet the notability requirement, such as personal quotes, tv/movie quotes, and song lyrics. I just noticed as I was doing some of these that where it used to say "That quote has been deleted", it now says "That quote has been scheduled for deletion." Any reason for the change?

All deletions (threads, posts, user profiles, quotes) are no longer instantaneous. This prevents some major site issues that were sometimes triggered by many deletions happening at once.
Most quotes should delete within minutes (often less), unless there are many adds or the queue happens to be especially crowded just then.

Are we soon going to get a fix to the problem created by massive deletions in threads, whereby the red "new" indicators are off by sometimes hundreds of posts, sending you ten pages distant from where you want to be?
Interesting. I was just curious if deletions were all being monitored now, since I did notice that the deletions were still happening very quickly. Thanks for the answer, Rivka!

This is a completely separate issue, and not one that is librarian related.
