Christian. No Christian punk/rock, though... Give me Sidewalk Prophets, Casting Crowns, and Hillsong any day. :)
And also classical music. Beethoven, Mozart, etc

Movie soundtracks-Lord of the rings, Les Choristes, Hobbit stuff.

Classical-Beethoven, Prokofiev, Dvorak, Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinsky

Contemporary-Really random stuff. I'm picky with Christian music (Lecrae's pretty good, Britt Nicole got sorta eh after awhile, I love tenth avenue north lyrics and definitely casting crowns) Other random stuff. Christopher Tin is amazing, PianoGuys

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments Everything but country. Seriously.

message 2356: by Madi (new)

Madi | 220 comments Right there with you on the no country T.C. :) I listen to christian music. 99% of the time. Mostly Hillsong,( I'm in love with their Young & Free album), Chris August, Kutless, Royal Tailor. etc.
Recently I've discovered a christian Irish folk band!! It's like porch music, and I'm in love!! They are called "Rend Collective". Anyone heard of them?? Uhh, so good! :p

message 2357: by [deleted user] (new)

Rend Collective! I discovered them last fall. :D Love them!

I just discovered Echosmith. They're really good! I've only heard Cool Kids and Come Together so far

message 2359: by Madi (new)

Madi | 220 comments I think some christian rap is pretty good Sara. On occasion I enjoy some Lecrae, Trip lee, Shonlock or Group One Crew. But I just have to be in the mood I suppose. For me it's all about what the lyrics are saying. I'm not one for whiny, "all about me, and my issues" type music. I love stuff that's glorifies Jesus! :)

message 2360: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments I like rap too. But only when I can at least kind of understand it. (And it has to be clean, obviously.)

African accents... oh boy. My brain can't register words said in a heavy African accent.

Sam (Readlovelaughlive) | 4404 comments 1) Having strawberry ice cream with my daddy, on a Little Tike bench that was yellow and blue. I spilled my ice cream, and started crying - and my dad got me another bowl :)

2) Lately, this past June, it's been - WHAT TO WEAR? Partly because the weather is crazy and I don't want to be hot or cold, but also because it was graduating time, and there were tons of pictures all the time - I felt the pressure to look presentable, because I would be immortalized in pictures :P

3) Sam. Sammy. Samsam. Any variant of that sort. My parents call me Bee, short for Baby.

message 2365: by [deleted user] (new)

1) I'm terrible with 'childhood memories' questions. It seems to be a question that pops up a lot in English class. I usually spend the time alotted for answers staring at the page, mind blank. I have random memories that would pop up at random times. Sometimes I remember something I hadn't thought about in ages. But when asked to put a date on a memory or to pick a favourite - I'm at a loss. :/ Maybe I'll think of one later.

2) "What time is it?" - then I proceed to grab my phone to check. Then I lay back down. Then I think "It's hot. Get these blankets off me!" :P

3) Joy. Joy-joy. (My middle name is Joy). Car. Car-car.
And there's this weird nickname my dad had for me. 'Dupetta.' The story is that when I was like 2 or 3 I was given a new doll and that's what I named it. My parents were all "Where did you come up with that?!" lol. They thought it was funny. So my dad made a joke out of it... and started calling me that for fun. :P

well I've been testing the waters carefully lol

message 2372: by [deleted user] (new)

I used to listen to quite a bit of secular music. country and hip-hop. But then I came to the realization that it's not necessary to listen to music that I absolutely can't connect with and does nothing for me. I appreciate good music. But I can find good music outside of Taylor Swift crooning about her failed relationships.

yup - nothing like hearing Rihanna talk about grinding in the club and throwing back vodka shots... and I'm like, "Yeah, so, I have no idea what that's like... can't really empathize with your hangover sweetie."

message 2377: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments 1) My earliest childhood memory is probably when I was...uh...I'm not sure how old I was XP. But anyways, at an apartment I remember my little sister (who was a baby at the time I think) crying/screaming, and my mom painting a...er...measuring board (is that what those are called?).

2)I don't really think when I first wake up... :D

3) I don't think I really had a nickname when I was younger, other then little names my dad would call me (you know, like Princess). An actual nickname would be Ash...just a shortened version of my name really. I don't like it when people I'm not close with call me Ash though. It just seems...weird. Like they don't know me and so don't have the right to call me that. :P

message 2378: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (hopeless-wanderer) WOW! You're actually on here! :P

1. I remember going to a farm and getting a puppy
2. Eh... "I hope I can be alone today"? I don't really know.
3. My sister used to call me Pete (I still have no clue why), but my nickname now is Ree. I think it's cuz my middle name is Marie. Not entirely sure though. Or sometimes people call me Rach.

Ashley | 1541 comments 1) Baby gorillas....I have a fascination with gorillas/and or most monkeys. I mean...they're amazing! XD
2) Purple. I guess. I don't really like/love one color over another...but if I had to choose, purple would be my favorite.
3) Well at the moment it's 'Battles' by Hudson Taylor. That or 'Hurricane' by Samestate. :3

message 2382: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments Haha, yep! And I'm fine :D
How've you been?

message 2383: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments Aw yeah, I know what you mean. I've had nights where I'll have eight/nine rps going on and every time I'd post on one thread, at least three other rps would suddenly be posted on... *shakes head* I actually really used to feel like I was kinda chained to the computer, despite liking rping so much. But I've really gotten it under control now. Haha, I actually haven't really been wanting to get on here for a while now...

message 2384: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments Lol, but it's fun! I mean, I think the reason I'm reluctant to get on here is cause I don't have any really fun/fun/interesting rps going on right now *sigh*

message 2385: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments Left as in gone off Goodreads or just...left? And cool! All these people posted on the thread so I turned off the notifications for it...you posted there?!

message 2386: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments K, and yeah I enjoyed talking to you too! :D And maybe a break would be good. I mean, I definitely want to pick it up again soon, but I'm really not in a rping mood right now... *purses lips* I mean, I am but I'm not. Haha, more in a book reading mood I guess XD.
Bye!

message 2387: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow, there was an actual conversation on CGC! Woot! xP I've been online but usually on mobile, and I hate posting from my phone so I just scroll through the news feed and check my notifications...

I've never gotten into RPs but you girls make it sound fun. I don't think I would be dedicated enough, haha.

okay, so
fave animal: cat
fave colour: lavender
fave song: right now it's 'break every chain' by Hillsong... wait, not hillsong. Jesus Culture? ... w.e. :P too tired to think deeply right now.

Just finished a book and it's late and I'm tired but at the same time I don't feel like going to sleep...

message 2388: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1541 comments Well it IS fun! You like, right a story with a person (and it doesn't have to be this huge long paragraph thing like we did here. Just a small paragraph is good *shrug*) and make this sometimes-amazing thing/story that ends up helping you with your imagination, writing, and daily need for entertainment XD

message 2389: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (hopeless-wanderer) 1. Horses.... or wolves... or foxs. Ugh. I have so many favourite animals! :P
