Haha, same here. But with my friends as well.

message 2304: by Rachel (new)

Rachel I was infamous once. I puked on the breakfast table at my college's scholars day (competing with hundreds of prospective students for academic scholarships). :) Rather funny now but not at the time. Whenever I mentioned it to my college friends, about half the time, the response was, "That was you? I remember that!"

Yesss! I would put down the entire Emily trilogy, but figured I should pick three separate books. xD

Sorry, haven't checked this thread in a while. I was busy trying to finish up school and working extra days, and then we went on vacation memorial week. Sure miss you guys though!

My three favorite books would have to be Anne of Green Gables, Where Courage Calls, and Where the Red Fern Grows. Of course, my favorite series is the Jessilyn Lassiter series by Jennifer Erin Valent. :)

message 2317: by Madi (new)

Madi | 220 comments Next month I'm going to visit my family for a week, and it's been almost a year since I've seen everyone. Can't wait! I'm going on my First missions trip in August... But other then that, lots of 50+ hour work weeks for me. :)

message 2318: by Anna (new)

Anna Dressen WorldView Academy!

message 2319: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm... I hope to see a lot of the beach this summer. :) And extra work. Gotta save up some money if I plan on taking college classes next year.

I'm doing a costume internship with a musical this summer and like Madi, will be going on my first missions trip in about two weeks. And my sister-in-law will be having her baby in July, so I'll probably be visiting them in Seattle after that.

message 2321: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments We always go to the beach early in the summer, then VBS is my big project (I am the children's director at my church). Other than that I want as few "plans" as possible, just so I can keep up with my kids!

message 2322: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (hopeless-wanderer) No plans other than that (hopefully) I'm going with my family to visit my aunt for a week. We leave either tomorrow or Saturday.... depending on when the truck is finished getting fixed.

my dad loves it

i was so inspired

but he said that the way Bonhoeffer went about doing things wasn't actually realistic or logical because he was out of touch with the culture.

Holy guacamole!! I'm super excited!! I'll be gone for 2 weeks in Kenya, and be working at an orphanage everyday. My pastor (who I happen to think is one of the coolest woman on the earth) is speaking at a women's conference for the local women who go through all kinds of horrific sexual abuse, etc and we'll be doing different dramas, and sharing our testimonies. Ahh I can't wait! :0

I don't really have any summer plans. Going camping with some young people Canada Day weekend... Should be fun. I won't be going to youth camp like I did last year. Just gonna go with the flow, I suppose. Spend time with the fam and all that jazz. :)

I usually read 3 books per week, and so I've managed to keep up with my challenge so far. I've decided though that this summer... starting now... I need to incorporate literature of more substance into my reading. Too many random fictions is not a good thing to succumb to...

Indeed. :) I know how busy you are. As long as you get a couple good reads in, though, you'll be fine. ;)

I think I've found the limit of how many books I can read in a year. 120 is actually proving to be a challenge compared to last year's easy 100. :P

message 2350: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments You know, I am such a slow reader, I am terribly impressed by anyone who can read more than a book a month (like me). But today, I took my 7 year old to the library, and she totally engulfed a whole ton of books. (And I'm talking, chapter books. Not cheesy little picture books.) She's going to be like you girls. *proud mama*
