Yeah. I'm wondering now: Maybe that man represented satan, and satan thinks that maybe he can lure me away from God. That's how I see it anyway. Well, if he thinks it will work, it won't.

Smile, because you went a certain way, and made it a better day.

Sorry I've abandoned this thread for so long. I totally forgot about it.

Icebreaker #44: What would your dream home look like?

message 1958: by Elizabeth, He Satisfies My Soul (new)

Elizabeth (elizabethnovak) | 1575 comments Mod
That is a very hard question. Sometimes I want a really bright light clean house and other times I want a nice dark wood cool house. A farm house or a mansion? I want both!

message 1959: by [deleted user] (new)

A comfortable, secluded lodge in the mountains. Big bay windows looking out at a beautiful panoramic view and a large deck where I can sit out and enjoy solitude. Books everywhere.

Books are a must. :P

message 1961: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow, you guys have the same dream homes as I do. :) I would love to live in a mansion and have plenty of everything, but even more than that I would like to live in an old, white farm house with a pleasant wraparound porch where I can sit and gaze at the big red barn and all the land and... well, I could just go on and on. :)

Definitely. My house must have a library.

I think mine would have to be on Prince Edward Island, so that I can have a nice farm house, but also be by the ocean.

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments Lots of light and windows... and a separate quarters for the maid who would have to clean them all.

Yes, exactly! I'm so glad to go onto Pinterest and look at my board of hundreds of pictures of house features. :)

message 1973: by brooke1994 (new)

brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) My dream house would have a view of the mountains
It would have a loft perfect for reading or writing
It would be or have a similar feel to a cabin
With a rustic kitchen

I've been busy though! I'm a sophomore in homeschool...so I'm doing biology this year at a co-op which has *shudder* been terrible, but I've been passing with an A!! But school is boring to talk about...haha. You're homeschooled too right?

nope. public high school. about as bad as it gets haha

message 1995: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments I didn't like biology in school. I like science where I get do math and figure out right answers. Biology is just a lot of facts to memorize.

Rachel T.C. wrote: "I didn't like biology in school. I like science where I get do math and figure out right answers. Biology is just a lot of facts to memorize."

Like chemistry? Uggh...I got 3 B's on actual report cards in high school and that was one of those classes, the others being Advanced Math and French. That was why I took biology as my required science in college because all it is is memory work. I still struggled to keep that high B in my GPA though. :) If I'd done chemistry in college, I shudder to think how that might have tanked my overall GPA.

message 1997: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments Well, to be honest, I didn't have to take chem in college. Though, I passed the AP test, so I wouldn't have to. Not an easy class, even in high school, not easy at all. But I still liked it better than biology. My college bio prof was German, so he wasn't easy to understand.

message 1998: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Hmm. A lot of people have told me they have problems understanding professors with accents. My bio teacher was definitely American. Most of our professors were local to Ohio although I had one who was a transplant from Minnesota, and she came back after holidays with her family once and demonstrated how she speaks at home, it was rather interesting. I had another professor who was originally from Brazil, English was his fourth language if I remember correctly. I learned Intro. to Psychology from him. I found him very interesting, but several of my friends had problems understanding him. I'm really starting to wonder if I just listen more closely to words and just aren't thrown off as much by accents. :) Then, of course, my favorite foreign professor was from England--we had a fun discussion one day in our crime and deviance class about swear words that exist in England that don't in America. It was really interesting.

I love biology. its like studying God's work. and how he put things together

math ughhhhh all that chem and physics

message 2000: by Jacklyn (new)

Jacklyn | 525 comments I wish there was medical science or something...all about diseases and stuff, but not about all that bacteria and stuff. Math is cool, and so is science. But when the two mix...ugh!
